    When you get runners on base but can move them across the plate that’s an issue - small ball comes in handy at certain times. They sure as hell aren’t hitting for slug either lol. How about we agree on this: there is a horsefeathers ton wrong with this team? More than small ball or slugging

    Seriously lol - Shota had 3-4 solid starts. He’s our “Ace” by default, so I think it’s fair to say, this season’s outlook is bleak to say it nicely

    Not gonna lie - I thought the same thing. I know last year a couple guys got pulled early due to a blister- understandable. May even sit out one time through their spot in the rotation. Getting put on a 15-day IL?! wtf 😂 Probably something they aren’t sharing - has to be more, right? 🤷‍♂️

    I said something around 75-80 to start the year. Do they have promise? Of course they do. They showed that during those two 10 game streaks they had; however, what I’ve been saying is they are either on fire or straight horsefeathers - no middle ground with them. That isn’t a sign of a healthy team. Yes, baseball is about ebb and flow - but between the pitching (SP&pen), and their bats being this hot or cold, I don’t see them winning the division that’s for sure. I really hope they can turn it around - this is brutal

    I agree with what they said about the middle stretch (20-3), and how ridiculous it is. You’re right - doesn’t make it any more frustrating to watch this. Baseball is an up and down (ebb and flow) sport. However, with that said, it is concerning to me about the inconsistency this team has shown so far this season. All teams (Dodgers, Yankees, Braves) go through a lull at times in the season. It just seems like the Cubs are one extreme or the other - not a sign of a contender IMO.

    Yeah - obviously they all want to hit more than we want them to, but there comes a point when you just have to stop relying on slug and be aggressive on the bases, bunt, move runners, etc. Just tough to watch right now

    Small ball perhaps - please 🙏 gotta move runners and get some damn runs. Nico not moving with one out comes to hurt them. Suzuki is notoriously hitting into double plays.

    Ha! I agree man - just bad energy around the team. Fans are frustrated to say the least. Who knows….maybe today is the day they break out of their funk. Let’s hope, right! 👍

    Absolutely man! There are good times and low times for all sports teams. I am definitely double-minded when I watch the Cubs lol. With my grandson, I do my best to stay positive and teach him about the love of the game etc. (even though I walk off sometimes and mutter sweet nothings under my breath away from him because I’m pissed at their play). When I watch the game in my basement alone I tend to definitely be much more critical. I need to relax and just enjoy the game and the team. I’ll always have love for the Cubs - even though right now they’re driving me and many fans nuts 😑

    I think it’s awesome he’s excited and optimistic! Sports are great - especially if parents like you, use them as teaching opportunities. 👍 I remember watching many Cubs games with my dad - it was a great experience and I always look back on it and want to do the same with my grandson. Keep doing what you’re doing - your son will appreciate you sharing his excitement and memories. Cubs are in a tough go for now, but hopefully they snap out of it soon enough. Hope you enjoy this age and time with your son 👍

    Any fantasy baseball ⚾️ guys out there - seems like a solid strategy would be grab any and every pitcher that faces the Cubs and you should have league winners - Good lord 😂 They're in a dark place as a team.

    Harrison has shown absolutely ZERO respect for PCA lol - two ABs and straight four seamers right at him and PCA doesn’t know whether to horsefeathers or go blind. Sit down potty mouth 😂

    My take on Milwaukee: Extremely well coached (you see it in their decision making and discipline), they are extremely aggressive on the base paths, and play small ball better than any team in the league. They generate quite a few runs due to their aggressive play too. They have a front office that is great at seeking and developing players with 1/2 the payroll (I don’t have exact numbers, but I know the Cubs have a much higher payroll). Just a solid organization. I frickin hate it so much, but I look at the things I see. 🤷‍♂️

    You know what - at this point, forget Bregman. Nearly 50 games into the year and he’s been a nonfactor.

    When you’re slumping, you have to do something different. I’m assuming this one is a loss as well. It’s baseball, so it can turn around in one inning, but Milwaukee is playing like we were a couple weeks ago, and we are playing like straight horsefeathers. we shall see - Go Cubs!

    Call me crazy, but what’s wrong with playing a little small ball to move runners and get guys across? They rely on hitting for slug too much, and it’s equivalent to NBA teams like Boston, living and dying by the three. Just do some different horsefeathers instead of the same old same old
