    It seems like the Bears are really making a significant effort to interview African-American candidates for the GM openings. Glenn Cook Reggie McKenzie Kwesi Adofo-Mensah Champ Kelly Morocco Brown Rick Smith Omar Khan Ran Carthon Interesting to see a very insular organization be more inclusive. Obviously making a hire is quite a bit different, but it's good to see more interview opportunities, at least.

    Flores is definitely intriguing but I'm concerned about a revolving door at OC, similar to what Lovie Smith ran into when he was Bears' HC.

    I’m not going to be up in arms about records breaking because of a 17th game. In a few years 17 games will feel like the norm and no one is still claiming the 14 game records are the real records. I bet it'll be a 18 game regular season within a few years.

    I try not to be a complain about the announcers guy anymore, but these two guys on the CBS call sound like they're sleeping. (I can't say I blame them because it's a terrible game with two terrible teams)

    I haven't come to NSBB much the last few years nor do I follow the Cubs closely anymore. There is something that just seems off by this move by Len. Most of those reasons have been laid out in this thread and I've read what Len, himself, has said today. His love of radio is clear, but I just don't know why he couldn't work out a job-in-waiting status regarding the Cubs' radio PBP spot. He has a fantastic relationship with 670 and it would be such a natural move. I just don't get it. If they bring on Chris Myers to replace him, my god. He's the horsefeathers who ruined the marriage proposal after the Boise St. Bowl win back in the day. Just the worst.

    This is going to read like a fever dream, but I'm sure some of you will remember this video I'm looking for. I'm guessing it's from the mid to late '00s and it's a Cubs tv broadcast of a home run at the Pirates' ballpark. In the background of one of the replays of the home run is the Pirates' parrot mascot who whips his head around to look at the home run. Len and Bob Brenly crack up watching the mascot's reaction. I can remember us watching it here on NSBB back in the day. Does anyone have this video? Thanks in advance.
