    If I am Pete and I think I just hit the game winning hit -- I AM WATCHING intently. But he made the key play and gets to second on the throw though -- just in case. That was brilliant and sets him up to steal third and THEN win the game. The guy is in a FREAKIN zone.

    Just keep it to a 1 run deficit and wait him out. Hopefully we can get him to throw some pitches in the 6th and see their relievers starting in the 7th. Peterson battled. He did not have great stuff at all but only 1 run - we will take that.

    I’d say only the top 2 hitters (and Conforto) will probably tend down from their current OPS. All the others could trend up based on their careers stats.

    PCA seems to be seeing left handers better right now.

    The turd looked good. I like the movement on his pitches today. But now - more than an inning? Are we pressing our luck?

    I’d say only 2001 was a historic year though. PCA should pass all those others years easily. I simply said “best” year by a Cub, implying defense is included.

    I can’t believe what I am seeing. If he continues this could be the best season we have EVER seen from a Cub.
