    Strangely no. I have no expectations to win the World Series this year, so I am not nervous. I was a wreck for an entire month in 2016.

    I seriously don’t get the Mets, like at all. This is a club that won 101 games in 2022, then the owner spennds $330+ million on new players in the offseason and they end up winning 75 games in 2023. They made some more signings after that season and they won 89 games last year. After the 2024 season, they signed Alonso back in 2025 for a $54 million contracts, two new pitches for $34-38 million contracts and Juan Soto for a $765 million contract and have now missed the postseason in 2025. I’ve never seen a club become worse after improving the roster as much as the Mets.

    Cleveland were 15 1/2 games behind on July 6th (they actually broke the Yankees MLB best record of 14 games behind, on July 19th 1978, to end up winning the division). Cleveland were 11 games behind on September 5th. Wild.

    63-78 and the Mets would have been in. Crazy.

    Good way to end the regular season. A 92 win campaign is nice, we will have finished 4-5 wins behind a Brewers club that had 11 and 14 game win streaks this year. Very confident we can win the division next year. The pessimistic side of me isn’t confident against the Padres, but it’s so nice just to be in the postseason again.

    Nice, Marquee! We have to sit through every last actor singing the stretch every day, but not your ground crew. Pretty scummy.

    I feel like after yesterdays debacle with Michael Busch, Counsell is depriving the Cardinals fanbase of a Svanson vs Swanson matchup because it’s the most excitement 2025 might have provided for them.

    Red losing to the Brewers and the Mets are still managing to horsefeathers the bed.

    Seiya has taken a massive dump all over the umpires face lately.

    Going to be an interesting day tomorrow. Brewers have the 1 seed clinched and the Reds lead the tiebreaker over the Mets. Surely you’d rather the Reds ( despite their recent play) in the postseason over the Mets if you’re the Brewers.

    I really wasn’t expecting to hear that Seiya has only hit 3 HR’s in his last 63 games considering he’s hit 30 for the year.

    Detroit’s collapse needs to be studied. 2-12 over their last 14 and 6-16 this month to be tied in the division. Four of the losses have come against the White Sox and Marlins. Someone has definitely put a rocket under the Guardians to get themselves onto the division race this month, but none of it would have even mattered without the Tigers collapse.

    Imagine the team sending out someone to retrieve a milestone home run baseball from a fan and that fan has already given it away to a kid. Awkward.
