  1. It was fun. Beats the hell out of the ohtani/cub junk from a year ago
  2. Welp, Jacob is walking back this 3 team trade. Now he reports deal dead. No trade
  3. I understand. Just a similar case, back in the day, when mlbtraderumors was in its infancy and no message board members elsewhere would give him an ounce of credibility with his reports
  4. Katyperrysbootyhole is definitely an odd place for sure
  5. How does a high school kid (jacob) get 3000 followers? Has he broken any insider info on his own? Edit: college sophomore/high school baseball announcer. But my question remains: what news has he ever broken to be considered an insider
  6. Yeah, I didn't realize Steele is 4 years senior.
  7. But you're not willing to be transactional/business with crochet, who also has a few more arb years?
  8. This is completely out of thin air. Who da thunk it? Severino chasing the Sacramento gold rush. I wonder if A's will do more prospecting?
  9. Welcome back Ryan Tepera ? Milb deal?
  10. If I remember correctly, crochet was demanding acquiring team give a huge extension payout before he'd pitch in the post season. But I might be misremembering?
  11. Can we believe Jon Morosi? Cubs are in on a Garrett Crochet? Let's play Goldilocks: how much is too much to give? And how much is jussst right? Trivia question? When was the last time cubs had 4 leftys in the rotation, if ever?
  12. Ouch. Especially with relief pitcher mandated to face 3 hitters, which I personally hated when that was borne into existence. I loved the loogy. I was all set to groom my lefthanded grandson on a career path. Then Manfred broke my heart. I enjoyed joe Maddon and his flip flopping pitchers and players. But that was too colorful and took too much time.
  13. Not sure where this belongs : Hypothetically , if the Manfred Man rule were to go into existence in 2025, who on the Cubs current roster would be the golden bat? I understand it depends on the situation, but do the Cubs have a clear-cut golden bat? Seya?
  14. If this is true / takes away any urgency to deal him this offseason.
  15. Thanks
  16. Who have we cut from the 40 for boyd?
  17. I find boyd interesting. A few years ago his FB was 88-91. Now it's running 91-94 at age 33. How did he get such an uptick? Chicago scouts must be excited about his sinker/slider along with the new FB for jed to jump on him so quickly. I'll be anxious to see how sagano's all around impeccable control with 6 pitches translates. (Especially his splitter)
  18. I guess we had same concerns for shota imanaga too. If jed were to sign Sasaki, it's speculated the need for pitching in a quasi 6 man rotation. So Boyd's 90 innings might be juuust optimal
  19. Wouldn't Sagano have been a better signing? He had a dominant 2024 and pitched close to 160 innings. At 35 he's a year older than oil can Boyd Plus another brother for Sasaki to hang with
  20. 30 yearold Ty France is going to now take up catching? LOL. And some fan is trying to connect the Cubs to him to help our dire catching situation? I mean aside from 7 or 8 weeks in 2024 we've been lac-o-catch but cmon ?
