How would this affect the cubs if implemented today. Welp , Assad would definitely be relegated to the bullpen. Every young cub starter would have to throw 100 pitches. Certainly no openers on a bullpen game. We'd end up having 7 or 8 starters on the IL. (Whoops already been there) Let's just switch to an electronic game, and the best programmers meet in the W.S. This is so horsefeathers dumb

You are correct, back in the day pitchers would know before game time the homeplate umpire tendencies for calling strikes in or out and up or down. I heard lou Boudreau many a time reference the umpire habit of calling the inside pitch or whatever.

Someone here at nsbb made the remark statcast (or whatever the technology may be) shows location at slight difference than our beloved marquis network strikezone simulator? Where-as we might view 23 missed calls, mlb thru statcast, may only see 4 missed calls? Dunno?
