  1. Hard wreck involving Alexander Rossi, Pato O’Ward, and Romain Grosjean. All 3 drivers were taken to the care center; Rossi has been taken to a nearby hospital, but is awake and aware.
  2. A little late update, but Caio Collett and Jack Harvey have had their qualifying times revoked due to unapproved modifications. They will start 32nd and 33rd on the grid respectively.
  3. Watched highlights from today on YouTube and the defense looked awful. Probably not a good omen heading into the Brewers series.
  4. Here are the full results of qualifying from IndyCar (apologies for the small text):
  5. After a very condensed qualifying session, defending winner Alex Palou qualified on the pole position for next Sunday’s race. He is the first defending winner to earn the pole since Helio Castroneves in 2010. Joining him on the front row will be Alexander Rossi and David Malukas.
  6. Rain has officially postponed Qualifying to tomorrow. Each car will only get one run. The brand new Top 15 Qualifying session* will not run * This was the replacement for the traditional Bump Day, as the field is set at 33.
  7. Sadly not. Definitely a bucket list item for sure.
  8. Saturday: Day 1 of qualifying is planned for today. Heavy emphasis on planned, as there is currently a significant storm in the area that might affect the 11:00 AM EST/10:00 AM CST starting time for the session. The rain has forced to cancel the pre-qualifying practice session scheduled for earlier this morning. As for the qualifying order decided by the draw last night: - Scott Dixon will go first, followed by Christian Lundgaard, Ryan Hunter-Reay, Ed Carpenter, and Rinus Veekay to wrap up the top 5. - Defending race winner Alex Palou will be 31st in the order. - Katherine Legge will be the last driver in the field to qualify; drawing 33rd in the order. In other news: - The Santino Ferrucci team changed engines overnight per FOX Sports’ Bob Pockrass on X (Twitter, whatever the hell it is now).
  9. Felix Rosenqvist tops Fast Friday practice with a top speed of 233.372 MPH.
  10. Due to some morning rain, the practice session for today will actually run until 7 PM EST/6 PM CST. Session is live now on FS1. Alexander Rossi leads Fast Friday as of now.
  11. How is it already time for the Crosstown? This year has went by faster than most, I swear
  12. As for today, it is Fast Friday at the track. The cars will receive a turbocharger boost to simulate the qualifying speeds for this weekend. Practice session today lasts from 12-6 PM EST/11-5 PM CST. Afterwards, the traditional qualifying draw to decide the initial qualifying order for Saturday will take place inside the front stretch pagoda at around 6:15 PM EST/5:15 PM CST.
  13. Well, since last year’s attempt at an Indy 500 thread went pretty well, let’s do it again, why not? And just like last year, it’s being started the moment right before qualifying starts. Taking a look at the headlines as they stand on Friday: - Entry list sits at 33 Cars for the race (no Bump Day on Sunday) - British driver Katherine Legge will be attempting “The Double,” racing at both Indy and NASCAR’s Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte. She will be the first woman to attempt this feat. - Last year’s Indy 500 pole sitter, Robert Shwartzman, is absent from this year’s race due to his team, Prema, essentially shuttering their IndyCar operations after 1 season. Current Top Indy 500 Odds (if you do bet that is) per DraftKings Sportsbook: Alex Palou (defending race winner) +450 Josef Newgarden +550 Pato O'Ward +600 David Malukas +900 Scott McLaughlin +1000 Kyle Kirkwood +1000 Conor Daly +1000 Scott Dixon +1500 I’ll try my best to update this thread consistently, but I won’t make any promises. Enjoy the month of May!
  14. Best record in all of MLB as of right now. There might be something with this team.
  15. Even funnier when you look into who they just hired as their GM
  16. Pat and Ron just had a whole conversation about getting asked to high school dances. baseball radio, man.
  17. Batting order for today. Swanson and Baller switch places from Thursday, and Amaya bats cleanup.
  18. Holy horsefeathers. Cubs have to have a higher GDP than Yemen now.
