  1. they also seem to be acting like they just heard of HGH today. The problem with HGH is that the body produces it naturally and at different levels in different people and at different levels at different times of day. Testing for it is pretty complicated. artificially produced HGH (i.e. the HGH that is prescribed) can be detected independently from natural HGH due to different modifications added to the amino acids during the production process. Sounds made up. Sounds like I'm actually a scientist.

  3. There is no chance Pierre would accept arbitration. There is still a team stupid enough to give him a multiyear deal out there. have you seen his numbers? Of course I have, hence the word "stupid". If the Cubs can sign Neifi and Rusch for two yrs and 12M combined, anything is possible. you have a modest point. It's just that i don't believe anyone's as dumb as we are.

  5. Here's my picks (1, 2) for the group stage. Group A Germany, Ecuador Group B England, Paraguay Group C Argentina, Holland Group D Portugal, Mexico Group E Italy, USA Group F Brazil, Croatia Group G Switzerland, France Group H Spain, Ukraine
  6. I feel that Tommy Smyth will use the phrase "onion bag" approximately 158973426936 times in the next month.
  7. (Fill in the blank) was tough.
  8. looks like he DHed for a lot of the year for Clemson.
  9. Well, we just made ten higher and made it the top number.
  10. I have no idea how I will get any work done in the next several weeks.
  11. I don't know why some here can't take a fun question and just have fun with it. Its a good point and I would have thought we were well in the race....sucks that all the other stuff happened. You're right. I should follow some other team that doesn't make me want to stab myself in the forehead with a ballpoint pen most of the time.
  12. Gee, too bad. :D All the off field stuff is certainly breaking the US's way thus far. The Czechs and Italians are missing some key players. Yeah. I'm very happy with it. The Czechs aren't playing in their preferred formation, probably, with Smicer out (they were leaning toward 5 midfielders). Also, Koller and baros aren't fully fit. This is especially good in terms of Baros, who has an ankle injury and won't be nearly as quick. Meanwhile, the Italians wil be missing Zambrotta, and thus won't have nearly as much of a push on the left side. Nesta, probably a top 3 defender in the world, won't be fully fit. Totti may not start because Lippi is an idiot, and probably won't be fully fit if he is. And now gattuso, the hard man and enforcer in the Italian midfield, a guy who was certain to try to maul Reyna and O'Brien, considering their injury concerns, and Donovan, considering his shakiness in holding the ball in the midfield, probably won't be playing either. Very good.
  13. Would you have also told me that DLee had been injured since game 12 and Tony Womack was on the roster and getting a number of starts?
  14. I think Listach will probably know when you all show up with small welts. Or when someone tells him about this website.
  15. Wow, USSoccer is finally converted to office policy. 8) Just for a fortnight.. :D  So you expect your guys to be eliminated in the second round?   Yeah, it might be a bit longer than that (I hope!) The Italian players are dropping like flies. http://www.channel4.com/sport/football_italia/jun7f.html
  16. How come the videos of the other teams' draftees show them hitting rockets to the outfield and ours show our draftees striking out or hitting weak grounders.
  17. I woulda liked Jimmy Van Ostrand, from the looks of those stats.
  18. I particularly enjoyed seeing him swing and miss on a few occasions. That made me have tremendous faith in the pick. He looked good doing it, though. And he has a "projectable body", right?
  19. Also I enjoy that fact that his scouting video contains all of one instance of him making contact with the ball, and it was a foul.
  20. Hacker is an excellent beer. Problem is, they're wheat based which I hear makes you naturally tired after drinking - true for me at least. I really like Spaten Premium Lager if I can find it. That's why I use the Hacker to wash down the amphetamines.
  21. Who the hell is that?? I dunno, but he's got a very stiff upper body in his delivery.
  22. So we really just spend a draft pick on a guy who openly hates the Cubs and who very well might not even play baseball? Yeah...new guy seems to fit right in with our management philosophy. look, you don't expect anyone with the Cubs to be able to use google or myspace, do you?
  23. can't get anything past kids these days it just got better: The newest activated user is Alberto Es El Hombre
