  1. they get a lucky break. Hopefully Grossman and the O can put something together now and stop making this defense look like it is actually not one of the worst in the league.
  2. No, they arn't. They are 3-11. This shouldn't be this difficult yet the Bears D seems to have decided that they don't need to make any hits or play hard at all. They look lazy. Someone needs to step up and soon or this game is going to get out of hand.
  3. Thats crazy that someone could completely avoid the battersbox or the field... (althought, he could have played in the field, but never made a play).
  4. outbox are drafts that you havn't sent yet?
  5. IM STUPID!!! Thanks for noticing sweetpeteman! I made this bigger as a shameless plug of how awesome I am.
  6. I am totally excited by the Jones signing! Any chance we will be getting Preston Wilson to play left? That would be great! - Edward K., Indianapolis, Ind. Also, Wrigley's small last line, which I did not notice till now: I feel bad for the poor guy. Its pobably not his fault he's stupid.
  7. Link WTF? :?:  It might have something to do with a plan to platoon him. Rotoworld also think Jones is best in a platoon (how could you really disagree? lol) The Cubs might be looking for a RH to compliment him. Kevin Mench and Preston Wilson are possiblities. Mench had an OPS of .980 against righties last year, while Wilson had one of only .780 while with the Nats.
  8. Don't worry, Jones could end up in left after we sign Preston Wilson to a 3 yr deal.
  9. We don't loose a 1st rounder since we are in the top 15... of course, we're just going to use it on another pitcher which we will wait years on and then either misuse him or trade him for some mediocre player.
  10. My line up with what we have: 1. Pierre 2. Walker 3. LEe 4. Aram 5. Barrett 6. Murton 7. Cedeno 8. Jones Dusty's lineup: 1. Pierre 2. Neifi 3. Lee 4. Jones 5. ARam 6. Walker 7. Murton 8. Barrett
  11. They will say they are still in it even if they have been mathimatically elminated. All this front office sees is fantasy.
  12. Interestingly enough, this didn't bother me one bit. We officially deserve to be laughed at. Is it too late to offer Brian Giles 20m a year? This didn't bother me, what caused it did.
  13. Have you're fun but don't forget you guys will have "JRod" and So running around the OF. :D Do you think the cubs have any chance of finishing ahead of the cards? Cubs will be lucky to finish 3rd in the division. Seriously. I agree. They will be lucky to finish 5th. Yeah, I like this signing. This way, by the end of the season, hopefully MacPhail, Hendry, and Dusty will be gone and the Cubs will be at rock bottom, forcing the Tribune to do something or be torched by angry Cubs fans.
  14. In order for the Cubs to become successful, they need to be sold and have the eniter front office, starting at the top, all the way to the bottom, cleared. Nobody promoted, nobody kept, not even the clerks. As long as the Tribune controls the Cubs, they will continue to hire piss poor baseball people in favor of business men. But hey, they still get paid.
  15. Who wants to march on Wrigley with Fire Hendry signs?
  16. Washington is not going to have a team within a year with the way things are going right now. I doubt Wood would want to uproot his family once, much less face having to do that twice. Oh, and frankly, I want the team to leave. These idiots don't deserve one.
  17. I think that it means game 2 of a double header...
  18. Why did the Cubs let Jose Macias go? I thought he was doing a great job off the bench? --Edward K., Indianapolis, Ind. Carrie: I am having a hard time figuring that out as well, especially with Macias' success in the (whatever winter league he is in).
  19. Jenkins caught the ball, established possession of the ball, and was moving forward as he was about to get blasted at the 10-yd line. At that point, he can only lose the ball as a fumble. He hit the ground and the ball popped up to Vasher. Of course, the ground can't cause a fumble, so the play should have been dead with the Falcons having the ball 1st and goal. Who knows what happens from there. The way things were going, it's unlikely that they come up with 2 TD's. Nope. He never had full control of the ball. If you watch, you can clearly see the ball is not in control as he is going down. Plus, like in baseball, the player usually has to have control of the ball for a couple of seconds in order to have it considered a catch. He never did.
  20. YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  21. I remember a couple of years ago the 0-4 Redskins vs. 0-4 Cowboys.
  22. bs blue, he wasn't contacted... haha, I don't care.
  23. he never had full control of the ball. it should be an interception.
  24. GREEN AND VASHER!!!! HOLY COW!!!
