  1. So, anyways, today has been a day of polarity. Two guys hitting 3 homers in a game (so far) and 3 guys throwing 1 hitters.
  2. HAHAHAHAHAA Wuertz really giving Dusty a reason to not like him.
  3. No, its gone. It was a hit. Hey, thanks Wuertz.
  4. SON OF A MOTHER. Guzman leaves with an injury.
  5. best games ever. not in the 90s. ever. His game score was 105 for the game. Not sure what the highest is, but I know its up there. The top score you could theoretically get is 114, which Kerry was 7 K's and 1 hit away from getting I wanna say it's the highest 9 inning game score. I also believe it is, which makes it the most dominant game ever pitched. According to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Game_Score and http://www.baseball-almanac.com/stats2.shtml it was the best game ever pitched.
  6. whats also amazing is that the first 8 batters struck out, and that Wood struck out 8 of the last 9 Astros to get 20.
  7. And Prior and Wood are hurt, although technically that's like falling out of a boat and hitting water though. http://www.progressiveboink.com/dugout/dankolb.JPGKolbb: /dives off ship /misses water
  8. 10 in his first full year, so yeah, possible.
  9. ground ball to third, the 3B made a great dive, but couldn't make the throw (Hesitated, looked like he thought about second. Cedeno is done. Send him back to AAA and try someone else for a while.
  10. What happened exactly? ground ball down the 1b line, hit the bag.
  11. Barrett popped out to the second baseman in shallow right field. Jones, thinking the ball would not be caught, was standing on 2b, and was easily thrown out. Haha. Thanks, Fred. Actually, it was much worst, Jones stopped, watched, and then took off despite the fact that it was perfectly catchable. And then he made an error and of course pegged the ball into the ground. Honestly, he looks like a little leaguer playing baseball for the first time. Oh, and I'm guessing that Rusch will see time today. Finally, if we lose today, which is looking more and more likely, we would have won 2 games in the last 2 weeks. Bravo Cubs.
  12. Just as a note for anyone who reads this later and wonders how someone singles on a ground ball to first (Jones), the first baseman (Nady) threw to second to try to get Nevin and hit Nevin in the back.
  13. What players of ours have facial hair? Dempster still has a goatee, doesn't he? I look, and at least when the photo's at the beginning of the season, the following had facial hair: Aardsma Demp Z DLee ARam Rusch Blanco thats it for major players, I can't remember who else.
  14. What players of ours have facial hair?
