  1. i thought it used to be posted as a sticky here, but ive been wrong before. does anyone know what hotel our cubbies will be staying at in atlanta? i got shut out on wrigley seats last friday, and busch seats today( virtual waiting rooms are the devils idea). so i'm going to go cross a stadium of my list this summer.
  2. if the go w/ the prior trade they can count this cub fan of 30 years off the wagon. i'm not even sure i'd like the hill/ pie offer on the table. from reading the other 250 + post i see that all the arguements have already been made, but is tejada worth all the young prospects? i know they rarely pan out for us but still. having the best infield in the game won't mean squat if we give up 7 runs every other game. no to prior trade!
  3. it might be that i watch too much cubs ball. it seems to me that we strike out too much in key situations. but i honestly dont know much on the stat's front.
  4. seen on tv where griffey's contract is back loaded for like 15-20 yrs after his contract is up. i dont think any team will take that on. esp. with his track record of injuries these last few years. i'd take kearns in a heartbeat. but pena/dunn would just add to our already obscene k's.
  5. ohh now, you can't tell me teams aren't lining up for holly. yeah, we will look the same, unless walker is out and soriano is in. but i think that very unlikely.
  6. i might be too much of a fanboy, but i dont move aram. unless its for arod and a WHOLE lot of cash. and that just aint going to happen.
  7. really looking forward to seeing who's out of the lineups. that ought to get the trade wind blowing. i dont expect us to get much done today. not enough teams selling this year. just pray that mad dog gets us the win. and then we can start to think about tuesday's game.
  8. i heard stone on p.t.i. friday or might have been thur. anyway, he said by dumping aram salary and sosa's salary it would + mram paycheck. i dont see where he's coming from with this. we loose sosa's salary next season anyway. and as stated earlier, why move the 1st dependable cornerman since santo. i think we got as good as a corner infield as in baseball ( right up there w/ pujols/rolan). no need to mess that up for mram. stone doesnt make a strong case for a future g.m. with this idea.
