There’s something up with the sound mix I think. The “crowd noise” almost seems like it’s drowning out walk-up songs and organ music. I looked at the Cubs Snapchat and there you can clearly hear Go Cubs Go being played.
I think I’m actually more excited now than I was in March. To be honest I didn’t (and don’t) have a lot of hope for this roster, and there’s a good chance this team looks a lot like they have the last two years. But now with the shortened season and the expanded playoffs it feels like anything is possible. Will it be ugly? Maybe. But I’m gonna be here for every minute of it.
I understand the reason for the fake crowd noise, but are teams not allowed to individualize it at all? I’d love to hear a “let’s go Cubbies” or “Ja-vy, Ja-vy” Boston could even do pre-recorded racist heckling.
yep, should be interesting as Pat and Ron will broadcast road games from Wrigley. Last I read Len & JD would be doing the same. I am curious about this. Will there only be one group of camera operators? Will road team announcers be limited to only talking about what the home team is currently airing?
So we’re a week out from opening night, and the Nationals still don’t know where they’re going to play their home games? And Juan Soto still hasn’t reported to camp?
