    I'm at work and don't get cell service in the office. I walk out and get a flood of texts from my wife going from "Cubs suck" to "omg Cubs are winning" to "Kimbrel sucks" to "Cubs win"

    I'm no expert either, but I am a childhood leukemia survivor myself. I've always heard that the long term effects of chemo aren't really understood yet (maybe they are more now....I'm about 25 years removed from treatment). But, I personally haven't experienced getting sick at an increased level. Colds maybe a couple times a year (usually due to proximity of children), never got the flu. Covid is a different animal though.

    This may be a dumb question, but doesn't the 'blocking the plate' rule only apply to a ball in play?

    I can't remember the exact day, but the Geovany Soto (I think) 3 run HR to tie the game in the bottom of the 9th after the Cubs had 2 out and nobody on. Against the Brewers if I remember right. Someone can correct me if I have the details wrong. I was actually so mad about them about to lose so I shut the radio off after two outs only to get a text from my brother minutes later. I'll (almost) never turn off another game prematurely.

    I was actually fortunate (or unfortunate depending on your view) to buy 2 tickets this morning. Can't get out of work tonight however. Early Christmas gift for Mom I guess. Lol
