  1. Now that was a terrible AB Al Sent from my SM-N900T using Tapatalk
  2. When every pitch is in the zone, there is no such thing as working the count. There's taking good pitches for the sake of taking pitches. This is exactly right. They have to be aggressive when he's pounding the zone with quality strikes like this. Sent from my SM-N900T using Tapatalk
  3. De-fense Sent from my SM-N900T using Tapatalk
  4. Damn Addy that was a rocket Sent from my SM-N900T using Tapatalk
  5. This is me, too. My expectations for the offense are pretty much blast everybody into oblivion every night and I get too down when they hit the valleys. Sent from my SM-N900T using Tapatalk
  6. 11 Cubs have stepped to the plate 30+ times this season. 9 of them have produced a 113 wRC+ or better. These boys are horsefeathering rolling now. Zo looks like he's making stronger contact, and he'll join that group in no time. I like to call our offense, Devastator, when it's clicking and coming together. So fun to watch. 7. Showing tremendous class against the classless Pirates.
  8. Justin Wilson's velocity is up a full mph to 96.4. He's getting ahead of hitters with a 63% F-strike, 3 points above his career high. His contact is down 7 points to 67, and in particular he has been nasty in the zone, lowering his Z-contact 10 points below his career average. It's too bad we weren't able to pry him from Detroit.
  9. I was so sure Al was gonna get that Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk
  10. Is it irrational to be concerned that maybe KBs swing-tinkering has had a negative effect? His average exit velo is down to 85 while the MLB average is 87. He is just not turning on the inside heat too often, as pitchers have repeatedly hammered him there. Just early noise or actual warning sign?
  11. 11 tries... #thatsnotcub
  12. And the hard contact is way up from where it was at this point last season. His approach has been good so a deep slump will either be the result of BABIP or mechanical breakdown. A 115 wRC+ is totally feasible given his track record.
  13. I'm still amazed the Padres have won 8 games You shouldn't be. They have Trevor Cahill and Clayton Richard atop their rotation. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk
  14. Straily had a hell of a night 14 Ks on just 97 pitches, 73 strikes
  15. Hatch has struck out 4/9 batters but has also allowed 4 hits and a pair of runs. Like a Kerry Wood game!
  16. It doesn't count on here but I just told my dad JHey is gonna mash another
  17. Entering today Schwarber leads the NL in pitches seen, 3rd in MLB behind Bautista and Haniger. Also entering today, Schwarber trailed Almora in pitches per plate appearance, 4.42 to 4.41. Almora's Swing% is lower than Rizzo's and Bryant's. Depending on if you use the Baseball Info Solutions or PITCHf/x data, he's either just above them or just below them on swinging at pitches out of the zone, too. I always thought PFX was more accurate, no?
