  1. Ok this was a slaughter. I could not have been more wrong lol
  2. And he tripled tonight off of Ashby on this pitch https://www.mlb.com/gameday/813033/play/5 Hes the only lefty in the game who can pull that, however weakly, for a triple. Im not watching but how? Ashby was a real problem for the Cubs, one of the biggest differences in the series. Murphy knew we couldn't touch him.
  3. You don't worry about Dylan Cease's numbers IMO. The stuff is clearly top-notch. The reason why im not so keen on Alcantara is that even at his peak he was overpowering in the sense that he was hard to square up but he never pushed a resume of a bat misser. Im lukewarm.
  4. Cubs need to add velocity to the rotation by any means possible.
  5. So between the Rome TD, the Zacheus drop, and then the Caleb 5 yard scramble for first that could have been a 40+ yd td to a streaking wide open Rome, there was a good 150-175 yards lost, and possibly 3 tds.
  6. The Cowboys game is doing a lot of heavy lifting for Caleb. It's the only game where he hit 65% of his passes. This number would probably improve quite a bit if he leaned on his TEs more, but his comp% does suck, his accuracy is a culprit, and the drops play a lesser role. He playing good but again, the bar has been raised immensely - his 98.0, which would shatter all-time Bears marks, is 17th in the league this year. 17th!. He is on pace for 4K, hes 12th in the league in ypg, thats nice. Although Mac Jones is on pace for 5300, so... He is also 29th in success%, 22nd in 1st downs. Those marks need to improve a lot. He could be a lot more efficient, hopefully that's coming. Still a lot of uncompetitive passes.
  7. Thats a 4QC for Caleb again
  8. Damn straight Swift Feeling good now!
  9. Thats a big run, probably want another 8 yards to feel good about the kick
  10. Lfg Caleb win the damn game
  11. You cannot allow them to convert that wtf
  12. Johnson and Williams need a TD drive here. Stop putzing around.
  13. Are they bracketing Rome or is he just getting shut down 1-1?
  14. He absolutely should have kicked the FG and given us a 2 score lead and I hope he finds few times a year where that is acceptable. This offense is not the Lions; nowhere near the personnel yet. He shot us in the foot.
  15. You had a chance for a 9 point lead, that was idiotic.
  16. Really dumb not to kick the fg there. Not a fan at all.
  17. Caleb better start using Loveland or that looks like a major waste of a pick. Might as well have just hung onto Kmet and gotten a real upgrade in the trenches.
  18. They swept them in 6 games and 4 times held them to 2 runs or less. To say they dont have a chance is frankly subjective and ridiculous.
  19. Velocity is the word of the year folks; they didnt have enough of it and they didnt do enough damage against it. Things got really bad in the 2nd half and that culminated in scoring 23 runs in 8 playoff games. Im not sure how to remedy this as it feels like 9/10 of our offense is set for next year and teams aren't really shedding big arms for us to pick up like that. Trading for Cabrera and signing Bregman would be a pretty big move in that direction but not enough. It needs to come internally, apparently. IDK.
  20. Maye is looking really good - 2nd in comp%, 3rd in success rate, 6th in ypg, 4th in rating, 16th in QBR. Somehow hes taken 18 sacks that have only added up to 55 yards lost. Thats wild. Other observations: Darnold is proving to be no fluke. Jones hasn't hit a wall yet. There are 13 passers with a 100+ rating and Wentz and Mahomes are each over 99. So half of the teams in the league have a QB with a 99+. Thats the new benchmark for average in today's game. Dillon Gabriel has a 100 QBR in 89 attempts. He has a 57% comp, 36% success, 81 rating. How does this make any sense?
