    I guess were not completely pennyless. Hows about we leave the bullpen be and focus on what we really need. Does Freddy Sanchez count as a "mid level" player? More bullpen help to hold our deficits certainly sounds intriguing to me. If Hendry still thinks the bullpen is the problem at this point, he clearly hasn't been watching the team for a couple of months.

    From This Old Cub: A caller phones the booth and let's Pat and Ron know that his girlfriend is a Mets fan, and doesn't understand why Cubs fans seem to despise her team so much. He wants to know if Pat and Ron can help him explain it to her. Pat: Well, you've certainly reached the right person. What advice do you have our friend Ronny? Ron: Dump her.

    As usual, a Cubs winning streak has about as much momentum as my personal life. This team is akin to women that lead me on then destroy my life. Ah well, at least the Cardinals are losing too.

    I can't wipe this stupid grin off my face. I almost forgot what it felt like to dominate a series like this. Let's take 2 or 3 in Philly and go back home with tons of momentum.

    I was bitter today because the Yankees-Indians game was played on Fox rather than the Cubs-Cardinals game. I live in Omaha-freaking-Nebraska. Nevertheless, Wang was brutal today, and I personally feel badly for him. My roommate is a big Yankee fan, and he is baffled. I heard on baseball tonight this evening that Wang could pitch 45 straight scoreless innings at this point and still have an ERA over 4.

    Watching Gregg pitch makes me throw up in my mouth. Marmol (of course) was ridiculously awesome tonight, followed by Gregg trying to blow an unblowable lead.
