  1. Is there a way for out of state people to buy a Chicago Tribune?
  2. i am exhausted numb and overjoyed...this is the best
  3. Sam Holbrook behind the plate...any scouting report on him
  4. I'm sure 8 minutes will make all the difference. You'd think Fox would have loved the 19:08 narrative. Because Cleveland is in the eastern time zone?
  5. I cant imagine going to a bar on a work night as it is add in being surrounded by drunks no thanks...my biggest issue was buying enough chew toys to keep my dog occupied because he was climbing all over me last night and that will not do tonight
  6. http://www.myajc.com/news/sports/baseball/smoltz-shines-in-debut-as-world-series-color-analy/nsyZd/ http://www.ajc.com/sports/baseball/critics-like-what-they-hear-from-john-smoltz/BjjTsTy37PhI019V2E0OPK/ so weird that an Atlanta paper would write good things about him... Which is why they added quotes from 9 different sources outside ...he has been fine and I never had got the Buck hate...he seems like a good dude too...Cleveland fans think he is Cubs homer Cubs fans think the opposite these guys are in a no win situation so mute is an option
  7. Buck is fine calling game action...I don't like his thoughts as he fills space though. I've enjoyed Smoltz quite a bit outside of his Lester/running game analysis/obsession. He's been obsessed with and repeatedly wrong on the running stuff as well as just a whole bunch of other stuff. And he often just says pointless nonsense. 8. Barstool Live will be live the entire game I have found that when those guys are on its just easy to mute the tv broadcast and listen to them ...makes it a little easier to watch the game
  9. Man I didnt sleep for crap last night...at least being on the west coast the game starts at 5..Have to get ahead early or by inning 5 it may be lights out...If we do get beat please do not let it be by some error or by shutout ....last thing I want is some documentary in 5 years about some fluke play...we killed a curse and released Bartman from purgatory this year lets finally end this thing on a good note and win
  10. Josh Tomlin looks like Chad Kroeger from Nickelback
  11. its not out of the realm to have these two games be like the end of the doyers series....or we could get shut out again ...who knows
  12. I should modify my previous post ...It November and we get to watch Joe West
  13. It November and we are still watching our team play baseball...thats pretty cool
  14. It's a good sentiment too. No one wants to celebrate wins in a series you lose, but its a good feeling to know that this is different than last year or 2003 or the NLDS 3 and outs. We didn't just roll over and die, we've fought back to at least play another day. And when this series is over, even if we somehow lose, I will be able to go back and watch WS highlights over the winter. Last year I don't think I ever went back and watched a single moment of the 2015 NLCS all over again. While it would be ultimately disappointing to lose, it leaves a better taste in your mouth than pretty much every other playoff season the Cubs have had in our lifetime. But screw that sentimental loser talk; we're winning this. Yep we have shed almost all and any emotional baggage associated with not winning the last century...no more curse talk too
  15. 75 degrees in cleveland in november is crazy ....glad we wont see our guys wearing the snow gear like earlier
  16. I really do think this goes 7 now ..Tomlin is not going to repeat his performance...Its a shame a home run by Salvador Perez in July in San Diego is going to rob us of a potential game 7 in Wrigley...either way we are playing baseball in November which is pretty awesome ....and a little ridiculous
