  1. Miggy is terrible. Enough of him
  2. Wood can hit but can't waste outs down 2 in the 7th. Dumb to have him hit.
  3. Addison Russell starting the ASG over Corey Seager is getting to Fukudome levels of bad
  4. Then we face them in the NLDS...assuming we still have the best record in the NL by then
  5. Can't walk De Aza. Bloop hit was well deserved.
  6. Reds on Monday. Everything will be okay.
  7. Looks like another 5 inning Arrieta day
  8. Or Fowler. It's sometimes easy to forget about how bad he was the first three months last year. Fowler had like a .310 OBP until about mid-July last year. That's why I tend to be a little patient with Heyward.
  9. Just have to get healthy, anymore injuries leading up to it and in the playoffs and probably
  10. There's a light at the end of the tunnel, they'll be fixed when they face the Reds on Monday
  11. Oh well, we play the Reds again on Monday so wins are on the horizon.
  12. Their June splits suggest they are pretty pedestrian but I mean no Fowler and Soler does hurt. Like Soler or not at least he has good ABs. Or better ones than Baez. Soler is not that big of a difference. Fowler, sure
  13. Put Lackey back out there and throw at them now
  14. Cardinals gonna release their lineup or are they too scared of the dongings to come?
  15. I was guessing it was maybe a scout that discovered Willson but it's probably just a friend of his
  16. Is Willson going to catch 1 game every 5 days? I'd just send him back to AAA, not going to learn like that. Oh well, Game 7 tonight.
  17. I wouldn't say it's a major problem. The bullpen is average. Unfortunately we doubled down on great performances from the scrap heap from Cahill and Richard and it hasn't worked out for the most part. Warren has been unreliable and that was quite unexpected. I love Strop and he's electric but every so often just completely implodes. Not going to fault Rondon for either of the last 2 nights. He allowed exactly 2 legit base runners and as a result blew 2 saves. Today he should have gone 1-2-3 but was screwed. He's been dominant. In an ideal world you have 9th - Rondon 8th - Lockdown lefty 7th - Strop 6th - Grimm/Loogy LR - Cahill Cahill has been good, Strop has been great, Warren has been really good, Grimm has great stuff and lousy results, Rondon has been about the best in the league, and Wood has been great. Great does not mean "never allows a run", so you get days where the pen allows runs. Cahill has been good I agree, Strop obviously. But Adam Warren? He's given up 8 earned runs in his last 7.2 IP
  18. I just think the bullpen is more important to Joe Maddon than anything else on the team. He used his bullpen perfectly in the 2015 NLDS and everyone stepped up and did their jobs. But right now, outside of Strop and Rondon, are there people that you truly trust in a playoff setting? Not Grimm right now, need him at 2015 Grimm levels.
  19. Bullpen is a major problem and has been despite the record. It would make it easier if Justin Grimm didn't suck and pitched like he did in 2015 but realistically, you probably need to bring at least 2 good bullpen arms in.
  20. Are we still not scoring enough against this AAA pitcher?
