    Yeah, if they're leaking things I would think they're setting themselves up to bolt after the 5 year mark for sure. Not sure why they would need to set themselves up for that. They can just walk away after 5 years. Maybe they're planning to bolt before 5 years. That would be pretty [expletive] seismic, IMO.

    What would get em jazzed at Cubs Con would be for, after announcing the line of prospects that all walk down the carpet and greet the fans. Have Pat Hughes announce in his usual smirky style. The he wants to announce the newest Chicago Cub. Let's give him a big hand. Masahiro Tanaka!! WWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yeah but they already said it's not a player acquisition. It's gotta either be: 1) news about TV deal 2) settling with the rooftops to begin construction for whatever they can still do or something related to rennovation 3) Clark left because his planet needed him but was killed on his way home. Yeah, I was kidding. It doesn't shock me that they would release some big news this week, though. They'll want something positive to spin at the convention.

    Ackley played about as many games in OF as Lake last season (59 to 56). As for trading Schierholtz, beats me.

    Not that I expected the Cubs to be players for Granderson, but jesus christ do our present OF options look bleak. OFers presently on the 40 man: Bogusevic, Sweeney, Jackson, Soler, Lake, Schierholtz and Szczur. Barring a move, what is our opening day OF? Sweeney/Lake/Schierholtz?

    Someone in my league is offering me Kenbrell Thompkins and Jimmy Graham for Martellus Bennett and Alshon Jeffery. Thoughts? I know Graham has a hurt foot, but I'm also expecting that Bennett and Jeffery will suffer with McCown under center.
