  1. Was Z yelling at the ump after the DP? Don't do that, Z.
  2. Haha what the hell were those Brewer kids doing?
  3. 6-0 Phils and the bases are still juiced for Chutley. Suppan out
  4. Wait..... Lilly is pitching tomorrow? So Marquis will go in the Milwaukee series? I know the Brewers crush lefties, but I'd still rather have Lilly than Marquis.
  5. Have they said the attendance? I'm having mlb.tv problems.
  6. 4-0 Phils Losing to the Astros tonight and tomorrow may not really be the worst thing in the world. I mean, I'm rooting for the Cubs to win....but we might look back and wish the Astros had won.
  7. It's okay though, because Colvin will be just like Alex Rios!
  8. A lot of scouts have questioned his mechanics as well. I can't remember exactly what, but I remember they were very skeptical of his weird delivery.
  9. We're gonna light that meatball up this time. Or at least get a run.
  10. Ah man, now he won't be around to gloat when Colvin finally turns the corner and is still bad at baseball.
  11. Is Bruce Bochy worse than Dusty? At least the Cubs were in the race when Dusty was overextending Prior. I understand Tim is trying to win the Cy Young, but this is ridiculous. He threw 138 pitches tonight in a 7 run game. He's thrown 127 or more pitches in 3 of his last 4 starts and 115 or more in 5 of his last 6. Isn't that a little obscene for a 24 year old phenom who alreayd has questionable mechanics? Here are his pitch counts from his last 15 starts, starting with the most recent 138 127 92 132 115 119 76 117 114 111 121 116 103 111 116 The starts before that weren't much better either. Seriously, this stuff drives me crazy. How can you be so reckless with a guy like that? I highly doubt that an extra inning here and there is going to determine the Cy Young winner anyways.
  12. 131 and he's still pitching. He's thrown 127 or more pitches in 3 of his last 4 starts and 115 or more in 5 of his last 6.
  13. I was watching that with fright (he's on my fantasy team). Didn't think he'd go out for the 8th after his last outing. Thankfully for him, it was a quick 10 pitch inning. I hope Bochy doesn't send him out for the 9th. Haha, Lincecum hit for himself. I think he's pitching the 9th. WOW
  14. Lincecum with yet another huge pitch count. Bochy is a moron.
  15. Haha. This is when you know you're going bad. Owings, who we all know was just sent to the Reds to complete the Dunn trade, pinch hit with 2 outs and a guy on 1st in the 10th inning at Arizona. He doubled in Chris Dickerson to beat the D-backs 3-2 and send them 4.5 games back of L.A. OUCH
  16. I hope Z comes out with his best stuff like he did last time he had to miss a few starts. Getting game 1 of this series would be a big dagger. A dagger for who?
  17. Dusty just brought in a rookie to make his Major League debut with 2 outs and the bases loaded in a 7th inning tie. Of course he hit Adam Dunn to force in a run. The Cinci announcers were questioning the move.
  18. Didn't Lilly pitch pretty well last time out against the Brewers? Personally I wouldn't want an amped up Z going in his first start back against the Brewers. A nice quiet Monday afternoon game against the Astros in a neutral site seems like a better place for him to keep his emotions from taking over and overthrowing and hurting the shoulder again. He pitched ok. 6 innings, 7 hits, 3 runs, 1 walk, 4 strikeouts, 2 home runs. Milwaukee has a huge split between left-handers and right-handers though (.826 vs .738). Houston has a similar split, but much less pronounced (.779 vs .735). If we're setting up Lilly for his best chance to succeed, Monday would be his day. Zambrano's healtht is way more important than anything that has to do with Lilly.
  19. But not on WGN all over the country probably.
  20. As much as I've been ripping Marquis, his numbers since July have been halfway decent. But still, who would you rather have out there... Marquis or Dempster? These are still pretty big games and I don't trust Marquis under pressure at all.
  21. Lou's already said he wants Z out there and soon. He'll go either tomorrow or Monday, count on it. Hopefully tomorrow so we get him for the 3rd game of the Brewer series Yeah, hopefully not.
  22. So no Marquis in the Brewers series now :good:
  23. Wow, this really couldn't have worked out better for the Cubs. So what is the rotation going to look like for the Milwaukee series?
  24. Heh, Wainwright blew a huge lead and is getting shelled by the Pirates.
