how is he wrong? -
i seem to remember zips being the only system that was that high on the cubs. i think most projections (and fan predictions) had them at like mid to upper 80s

you're being a little disingenuous here, rogers and kittredge are not on the level of several guys that were moved

why do we keep pretending like the cubs couldn't have pivoted to dominant relievers? a LOT of those were moved. if it's true that the prices on SP were too damn high, then go after a high leverage reliever

kelly would have been fine, and if there really isn't a SP you can work out a deal for, then get one of the million impact relievers that were moved

we're counting on boyd/shota/taillon as a 1-2-3 in the playoffs, IF Boyd somehow makes it all the way there. not getting a playoff SP was huge. also we're trying to win a division and get a bye.
