  1. Yes, Barney is the better defender there. But he shouldn't be in a major league starting lineup, so this is meaningless.
  2. Curse you. MD is the devil.
  3. oh Lord was that stuff ever bad. also horrendous: black label, koch's golden anniversary. as a connoisseur of bad beers, i'm intrigued by the talk of big flats and would like to try it. Depending on where you live, your local Walgreens is the place to go. It's Walgreens' private label beer. They recently introduced a light version. Here's what I'd compare them to: Big Flats: Busch Heavy Big Flats Light: High Life Light Here's a word of advice: make sure they are ice cold. If they get even a bit warm, they get pretty bad pretty quick. Wow, High Life Light is actually good news considering the price.
  4. i develop pictures in my head of what people must look like. the reality is never as fun. for instance, i have C.C. as pat riley in a fur coat. but omg, after reading this cautionary tale i will never gossip with neighbors again This is amazing. Can someone make this happen?
  5. Yeah, Goose Island should be a mass consumed beer at Cubs games. Why the hell not? Even most morons like 312. Because it would cost $10 and Goose Island doesn't make cans. I'd bet you if GI had the opportunity to sell mass quantities at Wrigley, they'd fashion a plastic bottle and it wouldn't cost us $10.
  6. confirmed, 312 is my classy beer Oh, you so bougie
  7. Yeah, Goose Island should be a mass consumed beer at Cubs games. Why the hell not? Even most morons like 312.
  8. I like how Len and Bob talked as if that Soriano soft liner had a chance of being anything other than a double play.
  9. Verlander's been in my top five favorite players for about 5 years now
  10. http://slam.canoe.ca/Slam/Baseball/MLB/2011/08/26/18606066.html Nice CYA move. THINK ABOUT THE CHILDREN
  11. Man, I remember buying 12 packs of Keystone Ice in college for like $4. I could get hammered cheap! I haven't tried the Big Flats, but I'm slightly tempted every time I see it. The faux-promotion Colbert did was pretty awesome and made we want to try it.
  12. Well, Randy Bush sounds mentally challenged. "We need to play with more intensity and put together better at-bats with runners in scoring position." No mention of OBP. Slight mention of defense, which was just a thinly veiled criticism of our most promising player.
  13. There are a few, and every one of them drinks Steel Reserve.
  14. What a dreadful article. And how did Z get the lazy rap? Crazy? Sure. Lazy? no way. Bradley too. The one thing I always said about Bradley was that he was too laid back and didn't care. hahaha! I didn't even get that far. I think I closed it after Zambrano.
  15. The only can of beer I haven't been able to finish It seems to be a favorite among the drunken bums here. In college, we bought it ironically and because it was $2 for a 6 pack of tallboys. We had a lot in common with the Milwaukee bums when we did it, too.
  16. Busch Light, Old Style, PBR and Keystone are all battling it out for dominance in the shallow gene pool market. You can go straight to hell for lumping PBR in there Hipster? I can't wait for the day that hipsters either: 1. Find another beer to ironically drink 2. Discover the actual meaning of irony and stop drinking PBR Then I'll have my beer back from those douches. Bah. I can't help it that hipsters like a multitude of awesome things. Why don't you continue to like what you like and not worry about being lumped in with the (mainstream) counterculture.

  18. Busch Light, Old Style, PBR and Keystone are all battling it out for dominance in the shallow gene pool market. You can go straight to hell for lumping PBR in there Hipster? It's just by far the best of the cheapies and doesn't deserve to be equated to the Busch Lites of the world.

  20. I just thought of "old man yells at cloud"
  21. No, I just moused over it
  22. Hiring Theo to head up baseball operations would be the smartest thing the franchise has ever done.
