  1. Haha, the announcers just compared Tyler Colvin to Grady Sizemore. Colvin got a single and SB in the fifth. He's now 3 for 3 and a triple shy of the cycle. Daytona leads it 3-2 in the middle of the 5th.
  2. Mark Reed with an RBI single and Daytona takes a 3-2 lead in the top of the 5th.
  3. Sounds like Colvin hit a solo shot. He's got a double and a homer so far in the game. He did! Bah, Samardzija gives up a 2-out double in the fourth inning. Jeff works around it. 2-2 in the middle of the fourth. Samardzija: 4 IP, 2 ER, 4 H, 1 K, 2 BB, 1 HBP, 1 HR
  4. Daytona ties it up at 2 in the bottom of the third.
  5. Walker, C CF Salas SS Fox LF Kroeger RF Craig 1B Spearman, J 3B Cates 2B Richie C Veal P
  6. Peoria suffers their first loss of the season in game one, 4-0. Albuquerque and Pawelek's lines in my earlier post were their final lines. Julio Castillo pitched a shutout 7th inning for Peoria. Blake Lalli had Peoria's only hit in the game.
  7. Actually, why are there *any* flights from Albuquerque to Omaha period?
  8. Moore will take BPA, if the Royals feel Wieters is the BPA, they'll take him. There's always the chance that Wieters can't stick at C in the pros. I'd take Price or Wieters without hesitation if either was available.
  9. Tennessee loses 5-2. Gallagher: 5 IP, 4 ER, 4 H, 4 K, 1 BB, 1 HBP Daytona and Vero Beach tied at 1 after 1 inning. Samardzija with some control problems: 1 IP, 1 ER, 1 H, 0 K, 2 BB, 1 HBP. Peoria down 4-0 after 5. Alburquerque and Pawelek have struggled in their 2007 debuts. Alburquerque: 3 IP, 3 ER, 5 H, 2 K, 1 BB, 1 HR Pawelek: 2 IP, 1 ER, 1 H, 2 K, 2 BB, 2 HBP, 1 WP
  10. Is it wrong of me that I was more interested in reading about Cliff Andersen, Chris Huseby and Robert Hernandez? And Prior's only strikeout was Ryan Harvey? Amusing, to say the least...
  11. Peoria @ Quad Cities (game one): Camp 2B Heredia CF Lansford 3B Canzler 1B Joseph DH Carter RF Lalli C Lewis LF Johnston SS Alburquerque P I have pretty high expectations for Josh Lansford. He needs to get it going, he has started the year 1/12 (though the 1 hit was a HR).
  12. They go better when the minor league squads have Gallagher, Veal and Samardzija all pitching on the same day!
  13. And if he goes to TB he won't have to face Pujols this year. World Series. So...Raisin's on record now for projecting a WS of Tampa vs St. Louis! Raisin also had Rafael Dolis in his top 30 list. :)
  14. Common. I voted for Nas, though.
  15. And if he goes to TB he won't have to face Pujols this year. World Series.
  16. Hill wasn't completely skipped. They're just keeping Z on his usual 4-days rest at all times. Z Friday, Hill Saturday.
  17. We'll see if they get in both Peoria games. It should be dry but "cold" (wind chills in the upper 20s), but if they call these games, they'll have to make it up in Peoria since the Chiefs don't go back to Moline in the first half.
  18. Actually, Peoria will play two. Game one will begin at 5 pm CT. And yes, Gallagher, Veal and Samardzija all in one day. Probable Starters: Iowa: LHP Ryan O’Malley (0-1, 1.93 ERA, 4.2 IP) @ LHP Paul Mildren (1-0, 3.60) Tennessee (game one): RHP Sean Gallagher (1-0, 0.00 ERA, 5.2 IP) vs. LHP Adam Pettyjohn (0-0, 4.50 ERA) Tennessee (game two): LHP Donnie Veal (0-1, 12.27 ERA, 3.2 IP) Daytona: RHP Jeff Samardzija (0-0, 1.80 ERA, 5 IP) @ RHP Wade Davis (0-0, 0.00 ERA) Peoria (game one): RHP Al Alburquerque (Mesa: 0-2, 5.68 ERA, 12.2 IP) Peoria (game two): RHP Billy Muldowney (1-0, 5.40 ERA, 5 IP) O’Malley: 4.2 IP, 1 K/2 BB, .067 BAA Gallagher: 5.2 IP, 5 K/1 BB, .190 BAA Veal: 3.2 IP, 2 K/3 BB, .400 BAA Samardzija: 5 IP, 1 K/1 BB, .263 BAA Alburquerque: 12.1 IP, 15 K/10 BB, .233 BAA Muldowney: 5 IP, 9 K/0 BB, .364 BAA Alburquerque’s stats are from 2006.
  19. Yeah, I think Felix Hernandez is ready!
  20. Tyler Colvin is back in the lineup!! Daytona @ Vero Beach (game 1): Amador RF Spears, N 2B Colvin CF Norwood 1B Valdez LF Adduci DH Chirinos 3B Reed C Matulia SS Santo P Weather: 88 degrees, clear.
  21. Yeah, the poster formerly known as goony took him. Somebody fix him up, I'm not using that phrase. I'm feeling out of the loop. I don't know if I missed a thread or what, but why is goony using a completely new account? I'm very confused. He was banned.
