  1. Minor league free agent signing during the winter. Yeah, he's going to turn 25 this year and he's back in AA after 2.5 years of doing nothing in AAA (actually, his first exposure to AAA was good, but it's been all downhill since). He did well in AA, at 22 in 2004, but his overall minor league numbers are bad. It looks like the Phillies cut him shortly after signing him too, not too promising.
  2. Officially: .321/.363/.524/.886. Linky and the FSL is pretty much a pitcher league right? Yes. Claimed off waivers from Arizona Diamondbacks, 1/6/06 by Phillies, not sure how he got to the Cubs. Minor league free agent signing during the winter.

  4. In the bottom right corner of the MiLB.com main page, you can vote for Mark Holliman as the top pitcher in April. Holliman is the leading vote-getter right now with 92 more votes than second-place Tim Lincecum.
  5. Probable Starters: Iowa: LHP Ryan O’Malley (0-2, 4.88 ERA, 24 IP) Tennessee: RHP Mark Holliman (3-0, 0.33 ERA, 27 IP) Daytona: RHP Jeff Samardzija (0-1, 2.45 ERA, 25.2 IP) Peoria: RHP Marco Carrillo (0-0 4.02 ERA, 15.2 IP) O’Malley: 24 IP, 9 K/7 BB, .323 BAA Holliman: 27 IP, 22 K/5 BB, .200 BAA Samardzija: 25.2 IP, 11 K/10 BB, .297 BAA Carrillo: 15.2 IP, 12 K/9 BB, .271 BAA
  6. Ugh, I hope Sammy is ok.
  7. http://www.thebaseballcube.com/players/P/jon-papelbon.shtml He probably won't be able to go 200 IP in his first year starting but I'm sure he could handle 150 while pitching better than a #5 starter.
  8. Bulls-Warriors finals :D Can't see the Warriors winning in the next round. They really, really matched up well against the Mavs (3-0 in the regular season). The Warriors don't have a winning record against any other Western playoff team. 2-1 against Houston this year. And TNT just showed that. After the Dunmurphy trade, the Warriors went 1-0 against Houston and 1-1 against Utah. I'll shut up. WARRIORS!!!! :D
  9. BARON! BARON! BARON! http://youtube.com/watch?v=hLch7JBvXEQ

  11. Jackson's probably started a couple fights with himself over the course of his life. I laughed.
  12. The Bulls chokejob in 05 against the Wizards was pretty bad. Not on the same level as this and the Cubs in 03. Wow, Richardson! He struggled with injury a bit this year, didn't he? Looks great right now. It's the 1 vs. 8 that makes this so special. When was that Denver series again? 25 years ago? Incredibly rare. And they aren't just squeaking it out. Denver - Seattle was in 1994? Somewhere around there.
  13. Jackson needs to shut the hell up. He's going to start a fight on his own.
  14. I don't know about the rest but Jessica Alba isn't a bandwagon fan (actually, I think she's still a Lakers fan). She's close friends with Baron and Matt Barnes. Yeah I remember that being mentioned. I mainly talking about Harrelson, Kate Hudson, and Snoop. I'm pretty sure I saw them at the Clippers playoff games last year, and at the Lakers games the past 6 years. Snoop's a big Lakers fan, I'm pretty sure the others have been seen at Staples (but shoot, most celebs are there for the Lakers when the Lakers win ).

  16. I assume you mean physically. yes. I can see a fight breaking out. Nellie should just have Stephen Jackson escorted to the locker room right now just to be safe. Too true. I loved how he was complaining to the refs over a no-call with a 20-pt lead. He's an idiot.

  18. Pietrus had the dunk.
  19. If Dallas loses, they won't be the first 1-seed to lose to an 8-seed. First in a seven game series though which is worse than a five game series. True enough. This is definitely a bigger upset than Denver beating Seattle, but I think this GSW team is much better than that Denver Nuggets team.
  20. If Dallas loses, they won't be the first 1-seed to lose to an 8-seed.
  21. Is MVP voting already sent in before the playoffs? Even if they say it's regular season-only, it's human nature to consider the playoffs if they have this time to vote. I'm pretty sure all the votes were turned in before the playoffs likely to prevent from such a thing from happening. Sounds like the best plan.
