  1. Heh, the Cubs first draft pick is lower than the number of prospects listed in that top 100 (Cubs' first pick is 104th).
  2. A candidate for 1.1: [tweet]https://twitter.com/hudsonbelinsky/status/726579761036808192[/tweet] [tweet] [/tweet] [tweet]https://twitter.com/hudsonbelinsky/status/726598520682209280[/tweet]
  3. The Cardinals are twice as far away from first place as they are last place.
  4. Duke S Jeremy Cash and Michigan State C Jack Allen went undrafted.
  5. Really wish they would have gotten Perkins but Howard was my second favorite day two running back.
  6. Cubs had a solid presence at Vladimir Gutierrez' final showcase:
  7. :( From the AA rotation options, I would have moved Zastryzny to the bullpen.
  8. From BA when Patton was traded to the Cubs:
  9. Looks like Brad Markey shifted to the bullpen with Duane Underwood now in the Tennessee rotation.

  14. Hope Leonard Floyd is good (and obviously Fox and Fangio have a good eye for pass rushing talent) but I hate passing on Tunsil.
  15. Probably. He's got fewer than 600 ABs above high A. He's probably not ready. Sorry but that's [expletive] stupid, we have how many other guys that were called up with the same number of ABs? Willson is ready, and this move is stupid as [expletive]. I hate having catchers that can't hit. Willson's defense, framing and pitch calling are certainly not ready. I'd rather be start everyday in the minors than be a backup for 15 days in the bigs. Yes, his bat might be ready.
  16. And the best catching prospect in all of baseball at AAA.
  17. Wow, that run developed rather quickly. Arrieta at 91 through 5. I'd be okay with his day being over.
  18. La Stella is putting the NL Central through hell-a.
  19. He's not ready defensively, is too valuable a prospect to be jerked around and Federowicz is acceptable for 15 days as a backup. Doesn't sound like they think this will linger or last more than 15 days for Montero so that's good.
  20. Don't know if Z could hit 100 but I remember him hitting 98 in the 9th inning of a complete game as an 18-year old.
