Interesting opportunity for Deppermann to get a start. Speaking of interesting opportunities to start, what's up with Robert Stock? He started last night and went 4 IP. Two of his three previous outings were 3 IP. I'm not sure what the endgame is, but it's really caught my eye. Not sure what the end game is but Iowa is missing a bunch of starters (Biagini and Holmes are injured, Stewart is in the bigs and Miller was DFA’d).

My main problem is that it appears Jensen is throwing approximately 95% fastballs in the dominant starts he's had out of his last 3 starts. That's all well and good at high-A but I would really like him to show a good secondary pitch in the pro game.

Yeah, making me nervous. Given that he'd been stretched out enough to go 4 innings in his previous start, it made me nervous when he got pulled mid-inning last game at only 3.2. My hope is that his pitch limit was a fairly strict 60, which is what he hit at 3.2 IP. FWIW, Herz is listed as the starter for today's game. Yeah. They’ve been very careful with Herz and Gallardo’s pitch counts so far this year, understandably. Greg with an update:
