  8. Àngel Cepeda and Drew Bowser both with homers for the ACL Cubs. It’s Cepeda’s first stateside homer.
  9. Nope. And with it being the restricted list, it might involve something the org doesn’t want to release. Besides, we rarely get news out of the ACL.
  10. 11. Sorry, didn’t see this thread earlier and was updating yesterdays minor league thread. So far, the diagnosis is only “soreness” but this is the timeline for lat strains (as TT said, the Cubs will treat Horton a lot more carefully and bring him along slower than they would an established big leaguer). I just hope is we see him in box scores again this season.
  12. Well, I guess it could be a lot worse than back soreness:
  13. Brett Bateman hit his first pro HR tonight. He didn’t hit a home run in his three years at Minnesota.
  14. MLB Pipeline just released their Top 200 draft prospects: https://www.mlb.com/prospects/draft/

  16. Seems to be a general consensus that the draft now has a drop off after the top 10 (6 college bats, 2 college pitchers, 2 prep SS):
  17. Obviously not ideal but could’ve been a lot worse.
  18. He is the age of a college sophomore so I don't think it's a big deal if he sticks around repeating MB till draft signees filter in. Especially since his younger brother is at the same level - that can't hurt him.
