    I haven't read this thread past page one so forgive me if its bee said, but we all know this is going to effect his mechanics, making them even worse by compensation towards his elbow, he will get injured and never play in a Cubs uniform again. Right?

    Don't players do that because it leaves scuffs from the ball so they can see if they are making solid contact on it? I was never really a ball player myself so I don't know for sure.

    This just doesn't make tons of sense unless a 1 for 2 trade is coming and we need the 40man spot, or if we are high on a NRI, but looking at that list its mostly guys who they dont need to add, have chosen not to, removed previously, or don't have much of a chance, so who knows on this one, but it seems like it must be a precurser to something else.

    prospects that may never amount to nothing I'd rather have 2-3 guys who could be the low cost cornerstone to a team than one ace making near market value who blows his arm out in the near future. And who is going to give the Cubs that type of package for only one year of Zambrano? Someone confident enough that they could resign him. So someone with loadsof cash... Yankees, Boston, Mets
