    Yea, I'm pretty sure he had popup or GIDP all along, but maybe you saw something I didn't.

    That was a really good AB, though, especially after inexplicably falling behind 0-2 right away. I mean, I know they want to swing early against him, but after he was totally wild to DeRosa, I would've taken at least one.

    My concerns about Z will only be calmed if he throws for a significantly higher strike percentage than he has recently.

    Last I heard, he'd be starting the first game of the St. Louis series. viewtopic.php?f=2&t=50857 OK, that's like a two day difference. I may have heard last game of that series, I don't remember. Either way, yes. Sounds pretty fishy to me. I understand pushing him back or skipping a start all together, but that'll make it like 13 days between starts. I figure they saw a way to do it with the way the off day lined up and they did it. That hopefully leaves him with only 2-3 more meaningful starts before the playoffs... Maybe a tune-up outing in the last week or a skip altogether. I guess we'll see how they line em up.

    Soriano - LF Fontenot - 2B Lee - 1B Ramirez - 3B DeRosa - RF Edmonds - CF Soto - C Theriot - SS Z - P I could be wrong on some of the order (I'm not positive I pieced it together right from what I heard on the radio), but that's who is playing, at least.

    i would think that it's a poor idea to have the leading obp on the team hitting 9th. not to mention a poor idea having hoffpauir playing rf. He may have the highest OBP on the team, but he also has the lowest OPS+/EqA of any regular in the lineup outside of Kosuke (who he is barely higher than)... With his OBP, though, he might actually be a nice fit in the nine spot if the Cubs were ever to go with that kind of lineup. I can't necessarily argue on the Hoff-power part though.

    Kosuke hits for the cycle. Top that. Ronny Cedeno goes 5-5 with 5 grand slams, closes the game pitching 3 perfect innings, shakes his fist in the general direction of Milwaukee, causing the Brewers to lose, and later declares himself the King of the World, a nomination the United Nations quickly approves. I still think Theriot homering is more bold.

    Good thing its a night game then. They should be nice and full by 7:05 Prince doesnt get full. Yea, but he doesn't eat meat.

    I have to believe that was the plan until we tanked 3 in a row. Nah. This was decided before they lost yesterday. And it could be argued, lately, that pitching Zambrano isn't exactly the way to preventing a 4 game skid.
