    I would laugh if they were trying to lose so they wouldn't have to face the DBacks in a 5 game series. I know it's not true, but I would laugh. DeRo did say they didn't want to face AZ, after all.

    The only way Marquis makes a playoff roster is if someone is hurt. He's not going to earn one no matter what he does tomorrow.

    The thing is, I'm not taking this loss all that hard for some reason. You would think with it being the 6th loss in a row it would really suck... but then, when you're losing by so much so early, you don't really get into it I guess.

    Yea, they're saying it was self-inflicted. I would cry if a current remember of this team hurt himself by doing something like that. Or if we lost our #2 pick in the draft from last year because he decided to not only ride a motorcycle, but ride one without even really knowing how to ride one. That crap still pisses me off. That might've cost us a shot at Carmelo or Wade.

    Yes Magic number = the number of Cubs wins + other team's losses that it will take to clinch. That's all it is.

    True but we could say the same thing about the Brewers being 5 games better than us over 22 (or however few) games. Of course the Brewers are better than the Phillies, but, then again, we're better than the Brewers.

    Am I the only one that's gonna miss Mariotti's pro-Cuban campaign? He was really the only voice in any of the papers pushing for Cuban and getting the word "out there." I realize Cuban doesn't need any more publicity, but I liked that someone was reminding people about him as a potential Cubs owner. Hell, a lot of the local media is actually against the team going to him.
