  1. i totally forgot that marmol wasn't even our closer in 08...dude was just that good.
  2. this is not bold. we had 33% more in 2008. 10 all stars.. that's bold. Ok Mr. Fantasy Fact-checker. What 10 are you putting in? Because when you start looking at who guy #6 would be, it is a bit of a stretch. If it's not more than a bit of a stretch, it's not all that bold...and if the 08 team can get 8, our bold scenario needs to be at least that. If you want me to answer this seriously, here are the guys who should be expected to be all stars without needing things to fall their way Rizzo, Bryant, Heyward, Arrieta These guys have shown an ability to play at that level before and somewhat recently or can be projected to do so at some point Zobrist, Russell, Schwarber, Montero (iffy, sure, but this isn't a serious topic), Lester, Lackey Then you can throw in a wild card like Rondon, since Marmol was one of ours in 08 and it seems like most of the super dominant pen guys are in the AL So I guess there's my BOLD prediction. Ten of those 11 guys (or maybe some others come out of nowhere to get sprinkled in...like maybe Soler) Not that I really think that's gonna happen. Realities of the roster construction probably dictate that 8 is the extreme high end...I think we can get there if we're as good as we should be.

  4. I really don't either. Especially if the draft is solid. I think we could have two above average units next year if things fall right. And two above average units = a pretty good team.
  5. Pablo Ozuna calling him out out of nowhere

  7. OF COURSE HE'S NOT [tweet]https://twitter.com/BBTN/status/708797483154014213[/tweet] this organization is so horsefeathering boring

  10. you'd think going from the worst inside LBs to two guys who graded out as two of the best as individuals stands to make a pretty massive impact. i think the gap between last year and this year will be especially noticeable vs the run.
  11. Apparently Piscotty got hit by a pitch in the elbow today, went down in pain and had to leave the game.

  13. maybe it's just me but stone reminds me much more of the guy i liked 12 or 13 years ago now that he's paired with Benetti
  14. Has Hammel looked as good as his line?

    NFL Offseason

I think it's kinda stupid/lame that they randomly drug test for weed, but Martavis Bryant is clearly not a bright dude.
  16. i like the new sox pbp guy
  17. Yesssss
  18. this thread idea is annoying me this year. i can't come up with anything good that seems all that bold (unless i say something like we're going to win 140 games), and i don't want to make bad predictions about the cubs.
  19. Cubs Sox will be televised on WGN. Dodgers available on MLB.tv, if you have it.
  20. What would that entail? make us not hate him, and eventually like him. If he's good (which he probably will be), most people will like him. He was a Cardinal for like 2 minutes.
  21. now go draft an athletic freak pass rusher, whoever that may be
