    Which is what he said This seems to be saying the issue with Fukudome was that he wasn't a goofball like Kawasaki so he was more touchy about it, instead of it simply being awful for being racist. To me he's saying the Fukudome stuff was much more icky because it clearly had no basis in his personality, while Kawasaki is a big goofball who is trying to be funny (some of it is icky and some/most of it is just a goofy dude).

    Doesn't seem like anybody is able to find anything corroborate this. I saw it mentioned during the game yesterday either on Twitter or somewhere else online. Possibly in the game thread. Why is it even surprising? 40,000 people, many of them rednecks and many of them angry at Heyward, a few of them yelling racial slurs within range of ESPN's mics is not even a little bit shocking to me.
