You really are a dumbass if you think the two of their starts/stats are anywhere comparable. Heywards defense is A+ compared to Montero's average play behind the plate. Heyward also gets on base a couple times a game and provides value on the basepaths. Both Fangraphs and BR had him as about a 2 WAR player last year, so it's not like he's following up a crappy season. They can easily afford to wait for him to start hitting given how good the rest of the offense is, plus the defense he brings to the table. to add to that, it's 2 wins in 113 games (without any accounting for his extremely good framing contribution)
