  1. What kind of Stockholm Syndrome madness is this? There are a million reasons you should already have told Comcast to pound sand There are no other good internet providers in my area for some reason. AT&T is but all reviews say it sucks in my town. I could just stick with them for internet, but I haven't pulled the trigger yet. are you still in the city? RCN has given me great (fast AF) service for 3-4 years now.
  2. joe needs to have a quicker hook with wilson. when he's off, he's complete trash and leaving him out there to work it out clearly does not work for him.
  3. lmao i was totally expecting cervelli to dong there...then i had to turn down my volume for a minute, look back up and it's 6-1 in the bottom of the inning.
  4. I'd rather have Grote if that were the plan. My guess is Grote didn't want to do it. They would've gone there first, I'd think. Either way, I can't stand Grote, so I am not really bothered.
  5. so it's pretty likely the reason the score swapped zaidman and grote this year was so they could get coomer off the play by play (since zaidman has lots of experience doing it), right?
  6. wtf... within the last 12 hours the forecast for tomorrow changed from 70 with no rain until the late afternoon to now a high of 58 with rain scattered all day. so much for playing hooky for that game. (edit - at least on accuweather)
  7. oh man this was me. I was convinced there was no way he could do it. I watched him one game in AAA (i am a scout) and he looked so bad so I just wrote him off, because i am a scout I decided off of one AFL play from some game that was on mlbn that he was a future left fielder. For once I was wrong and CubinNY was absolutely right. Also he was obviously not going to make enough contact in the big leagues bc Brett Jackson
  8. Bruh. Come on. You, like the rest of us, jump on people all the time to correct for being just a little off with their baseball flimflammery. Along those lines, tossing it out there like Rizzo has been Votto 2.0 is pretty goofy. Yeah I know we're all pretty terrible huge dorks
  9. Yes jeez I'm well aware of all that. Votto is clearly better. Sometimes I forget how careful I have to be with my words with you jamokes.
  10. This is a new thing with the reconfiguration of the walls/dugouts that happened to accommodate football and/or whatever changes might've been necessitated by the underground stuff they built. I think it's specific to a couple areas and not really a thing in most of the park (and I'm pretty sure all the lower grandstand seats were replaced in 2015-16). So if your parents are somewhat close to the outfield corner and a little in front there where the bullpen used to be (the bartman area), they might be at risk.
  11. the crazy thing is rizzo also drastically improved in these areas and became another votto like 4 years ago. like we already had one guy decide to become joey votto while in the big leagues and now we have two
  12. just because he had potential in 2015 doesn't mean he has much of it left now even when he's been healthy he has looked entirely unimpressive on the field...and i don't just mean numbers. he doesn't flash anything. He's played 5 games def not enough time for him to do stuff like look at all fast or athletic it also doesn't help his case in any way that he has barely played football since 2014.
  13. White is lost money either way, but he is additional lost cap too by doing anything other than keeping him on the roster for now. Basically he's around by default until he gets outplayed by 53 other guys. Maybe they're super confident in his health, but even healthy that would be dumb. So... maybe just wishful thinking again on my part, but he's just a weird spaceholder to me. They (pace) took him #4 pick overall. How is his potential weird?? just because he had potential in 2015 doesn't mean he has much of it left now even when he's been healthy he has looked entirely unimpressive on the field...and i don't just mean numbers. he doesn't flash anything.
  14. Was Robinson's injury that much less severe? Torn ACL only...and according to reports I pulled up from when the injury happened, it was considered a good sign how quickly Robinson was able to have the knee operated on, which was the next day. I think in Meredith's case, he had his a week or two after the injury.

  16. It will be interesting to see if this pushes us into Ridley I'm damn near positive the Bears will match. welp, nevermind wonder if this says anything about how his recovery is going [tweet] [/tweet]
  17. I have no idea if you did this on purpose or not, but I love the idea that Travis d'Arnaud is so injury-prone that he might as well be a pitcher. lmao total brain fart....i think i mixed up d'arnaud and degrom when i read that
