  1. Considering the nicest and most down to earth guy on the team (Bryant) is pretty much his best friend goes a long way to showing Rizzo is probably not a "super fake dickhole." i think their friendship is vastly overblown off the field. they're very different dudes. rizzo is a frat bro who likes to go out and have fun a lot. bryant won't even sip alcohol in a world series celebration. i know enough people who have had run ins (i've even had one, actually, but i didn't approach him bc i'm not that guy) to know he's not a super nice guy to any and everyone like everyone thinks, and that is completely fine. i wouldn't be either.
  2. My hairdresser/stylist/whatever I've been going to for damn near 20 years now owns her own place and I still tip her.
  3. mozeliak publicly questioning dex's effort level...stealing this transcription from GRB https://www.scoopswithdannymac.com/mondays-with-mo-july-2-2018/
  4. Can confirm Rizzo is NOT a "super fake dickhole" in real life from multiple people who've met him. Where do you guys come up with these takes? Does anyone else want to speculate on which former players are dicks because there are some pretty obvious ones: neither of us can confirm anything. i've seen/heard multiple people say the opposite of what your people said. Same. And I don't care even a little bit how he treats random grown ass men.
  5. as much as i don't like harold reynolds, i like this [tweet] [/tweet]
  6. i got the joke i'm just horsefeathering amazed at what he's doing right now
  7. I made no comparison of the tools Gretzky had with the tools that Javy has. Only Javy’s awareness of the game and what’s going on around him. Understand now? Unfortunately, Javy doesn't hit like he knows where the ball is going to be. while sporting a 130 wRC+ imagine if he did (or ever does) decide to be as aware in his at bats as he is with everything else
  8. This is one of the worst takes I've seen on this site.
  9. that was absolutely pathetic. i'm ready to go full meatball.
  10. On pace for a 3+ WAR season, and that's with a probably deflated defensive contribution (relative to his ability) because he was temporarily blind or concussed or something.
  11. Carlos Boozer was a very good player, especially at his peak with Utah. I'd be more than happy if that were his outcome. That said, it's kind of a weird comp IMO from what I can gather. The comment about the 2010-11 Bulls is pretty weird considering that team had a superstar DRose and probably could've gotten past any non-Heatles team in the East, including the later LeBron Cavs teams. That team legit could've won a title in a non-superteam NBA.
  12. horsefeathers Penn State
  13. that's probably the best at bat javy has had in his career
  14. FWIW, here's a recent write up on WCJ https://www.postingandtoasting.com/2018/6/20/17470840/know-the-prospect-wendell-carter-jr I think this pick is boring as hell but I'm also fairly confident he'll be a solid player.
  15. i can only assume the answer is "matt kemp lol" the answer is Javy Baez, you fool that part's understood
  16. i can only assume the answer is "matt kemp lol"
  17. god damn do i horsefeathering love javy baez
  18. did anyone else just have their mlb.com radio broadcast turn into the buena vista social club or something for like 3 minutes?
  19. [tweet] [/tweet] holy horsefeathering horsefeathers. just now saw this.
