  1. On the 17th? Wouldn't you have a family thing going on for the following game (Lions, I think)? Or are you celebrating early?
  2. Excellent article. There's no doubt that the other playoff-caliber teams in the league will destroy the Bears if he repeats his performance against one of them, but he's also the type who can get hot and compensate for a lagging defense should it be called for. I'm nowhere near as optimistic now of the Bears winning it all as I was after 5 or 7 weeks, but I still wouldn't be surprised to see it. The thing about this article that surprised me the most was the mention of Hester as a possible rookie of the year. Would a huge year of special teams be enough to snag it from some of the others? Hopefully he pads his season with another return or two, and then shows up on offense in the remaining three tune-up games. With Grossman's propensity to go deep, teams would have to respect the deep threat with Hester lining up, so if nothing else, checking down would be a gift first down, and once in a while take a shot for shots and giggles. I'm thinking Hester might be more useful on screens and reverses than actually going deep. If anything, Berrian and Bradley stretch the field out and we go to Hester on that checkdown for who knows how many yards. Agree with everything else.
  3. only problem I have with that article is he doesn't lump in Fox, especially Joe Buck, for being the original and most persistant windbags in this whole affair. So true. Buck was doing the same with Eli on Sunday. All he ever does is harp on the same thing over and over and over over the course of a telecast.
  4. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/writers/em_swift/12/12/bears/ Good piece on Grossman and the Bears in SI. I couldn't have put it any better myself.
  5. He's got a finger up on the competition. Nice. Alfonseca? ... Thanks for nubbin. Nice twice.
  6. Dare I say it? Perhaps Tafoya was the... Oh nevermind. I'll say it. Slump-buster!
  7. Well, we're not exactly stealing one this time. This is just a good ol' fashioned blowout.
  8. Maybe Griese will see the field today, after all. In mopup.
  9. So... I'll say it... Is Rexy bringin Sexy back?
  10. It isn't often that you talk about the play of a corner? WHAT?!!?
  11. God. Jim Belushi. Please shut up.
  12. Well, they ARE 3 Pro Bowlers (out of 11 guys)... and they ARE being replaced by Boone, Harris, and Hester (respectively), among others.
  13. Tillman just doesn't want to get a loaf on that one.
  14. Because of one drive (really one play) which hasn't even resulted in a score yet?
  15. Absolutely no reason to throw it that hard if you don't have a hole that's going to close in the next half second or so, and there wasn't. He gave his team a worse chance to get the first down by throwing like that Absolutely no reason to make excuses for receivers when they don't catch balls that hit them in the hands. Grossman could have thrown it better but an NFL receiver has to catch that ball.
  16. Too hard? WTF? Does Brett Favre throw it too hard everytime? The ball hit Bernard in the hands, he should've caught it.
  17. Theisman is such a clown. hahahahaha Everything he says is wrong.
  18. UM BRADLEY LEARN THE FRIGGEN PLAYS
