  1. Horsefeathers! Scary inning. I don't feel like Jake is missing his spots, they're just squaring him up now.
  2. Big inning here for Arrieta. Non-Posey/Pence inning. Be huge to get out of the inning easy and force Bochy to keep Bumgarner in 1 more inning, where I think the Cubs touch him up again.
  3. Ugh. Needed to score there. Man at 3rd, less than 2 outs.
  4. You guys broke the board. I've been trying to post since before Jake whipped out his dong.
  5. I'm in.
  6. I'll get irrationally upset about Tanner Roark shutting down the Cubs offense. I know he's a pretty good pitcher, but his name is lame and he allows a lot of balls in play, so I'll be annoyed by weak contact.
  7. I used to think Baez at 3B was the best option because he was so good there and Bryant > OF than Zobrist.....but Baez is a gamechanger defensively at 2B, simply with his tagging and turning the DP, and this Arrieta/Montero combo is one teams will try to run on. I'd keep things the way they have been the last 2 games.
  8. Because he's leading the team in catches allowed.
  9. Chris Prosinski, also doesn't do anything correctly.
  10. Logan Paulsen does everything wrong.
  11. Been a lot of this going around, but Bryce Callahan is really good. And the Bears get some luck!
  12. Defensive stop would be ideal in this game. Preferably right now.
  13. Reverse jinx ya'll.
  14. Hahaha. horsefeathers!
  15. Dumpoff McDumperson won't throw the ball in the endzone regardless.
  16. Speaking of IU......Jordan horsefeathering Howard!
  17. Snap to the face, bounces right into his hands and they run a perfectly normal play. Luckily a terrible throw, but only my teams.
  18. I literally just learned Joe Buck went to IU and is married to Michelle Beisner of ESPN when I wiki'd it to make sure it was true.
  19. A player making contact and remaining completely on top of base but very briefly not actually having contact and being called out is just not 'right'. An over slide is a completely different thing. This. Overslides, over-running the base, those are completely different than Javy's slide. Again, I don't think the people who determined how replay was going to be used really considered a slight disconnect from the base. I look at it as a loophole that managers are exploiting. Especially since in instances like Javy's slide, it's incredibly subtle. Agree. I think it's akin to the NFL reviews, in that you can't review one thing and come back and change the ruling on something else. I think in almost all cases, the opposing manager is reviewing if the tag got there before the baserunner touched the base. I feel like reviewing and coming back with "well, no he didn't tag him before he got to the base.....but he moved off the base slightly while the tag was still there" is pretty weak. Especially considering the tag could be a big part of the reason why the player ever so slightly came off the bag.
  20. Great, now I'm expecting a 13K 1-hitter, because he did that 1 time.
  21. I think I'm winning because Baez is less unlikely, because he's probably going to start every game.
