okay, here's the message I sent out to the people interested... If everyone sticks with it, then we'll have 16. If one person bails, we'll have to figure something out. If two bail, we'll go with 14. We need to set a keeper date and a draft date.
MR - do you not want to be commish any longer? If you're keeping that position, can you make a decision here? My personal position is that I like the challenge of the 16 team league if we can find enough good owners. We seem to have enough people interested, but they may not be once they read the rules in detail or see the state of the teams they would take over. I'd suggest that since we'll be adding multiple managers one way or another that we allow the new managers to pick teams in the order in which they expressed interest in joining. If we are contracting, we have to figure out if there are any incomplete trades where draft compensation needs to be accounted for.
Make your choice for the Cubs 2016 #5 prospect. Cast votes for the players you think would be deserving at #5. You can vote for one player at this point, but you can change your vote up to the closing date. If you want to have a player added to the list, please say so. #1: Gleyber Torres #2: Willson Contreras #3: Albert Almora #4: Ian Happ #5: Billy McKinney btw - I've been busy as hell lately. If anyone else sees the poll time out, feel free to start the next one.
http://www.fangraphs.com/depthcharts.aspx?position=ALL&teamid=17 A small gain to 53.6. If everyone stays healthy, this is a modest boost at best. Where this really helps us is if someone gets injured. And, of course, in the World Series.

Add in the fact that CF offer more in baseruns and defensive value, and you have something very interesting. The more interesting analysis is probably the median for each position.
He's still out there as a free agent after being non-tendered by the Royals following his TJS in Sept. I'd be interested in having the Cubs make an investment in the future bullpen and sign him to a backloaded three year deal.
