  1. It's been a great month for NSB(B), even if the Cubs have been pretty meh lately. Duke is killing it on the front page, Goony is killing it on Twitter, I got a batch of board enhancements done earlier in the month, I got the prospect ranking system up and running and traffic is trending the right way again. The ad revenue has been fairly solid this month, but if you're one of those that uses ad blocker, I'll ask you to please contribute to the cause every once in a while. Thanks!
  2. So, I've been wrestling with how to make the voting more secure. Right now, for example, anyone can go to the page and submit an entry as "Tim". Furthermore, they can call up my entry from earlier in the day and change it, too. I can't use the message board logins unless I want to integrate the board and the front end again, which made things very complicated in the past. So I think I'm going to have to use the front end software (Joomla) to accept registrations to track names. That way if we see a ranking from Raisin, TT, Duke or someone else, we'll know it is them! Then I'll have to decide if I also want to accept anonymous / unregistered rankings, as well. That might get a lot more participation from outside of our little community of fans. If I force people to register first, it is highly unlikely that they do it. Any thoughts on that?
  3. We used Cahill the very next inning. Madden [expletive] the bed. Cahill has poor splits versus lefties and they had two in a row coming up, plus a switch hitter after that.
  4. turn into that and take one for the team!
  5. A) He would've been out B) Bryant coming up C) lol I said I don't care. I would have to watch the replay again but I thought he would have been safe only with a really bad throw.
  6. Alright Willson, you're already close to my favorite player. Make it happen.
  7. Damn. btw - Is it just me or do all the Mets relievers work as slow as Trachsel?
  8. I'd imagine that Ross comes in to catch and Contreras goes to LF.
  9. You should be fixed. I don't know why the board doesn't automatically remove some people from the new users group after three posts like it should.
  10. Both small samples compared to career numbers.
  11. I really wanted the Cubs to sign Blevins this winter. I wish Theo had listened to me.
  12. That's a really nice day at the plate for Russell.
  13. I like Cogs, but he needs to go when Fowler comes back.
  14. Coghlan didn't move from the batters box. He's fine.
  15. go ahead. it ain't softball I thought about editing that after I typed it. But I figured everyone would know what I meant. :)
  16. We're going to have to face Cespedes to get out of the inning now, too.
  17. Peralta has one job - get lefties out. If he can't do that, then he needs to go.
