  1. The Believe bracelet is turned inside out until further notice.
  2. Because Hendry has been known to make moves when we need help? Ramirez, Lofton, Simon, Karros, Nomar...ring any bells? I don't doubt that Hendry is going to make a deal. Plus, he doesn't make the lineups, so don't assume that he is content with Neifi starting at 2B every day. I have full faith in Hendry. It's the man wearing the #12 that I worry about, but if Hendry gives him better players than Neifi, I'm not that worried.
  3. If I was Hendry, the first thing I'd do after this weekend series is call Florida about Cabrera, and Cincy about Dunn. Since they both play multiple positions (and I'm not that partial to Pie anyways), I'd be more than willing to include Pie in the deal.
  4. I'd love to have Sweeney, but KC would have to eat some of that contract.
  5. Where's Randall Simon when you need him?
  6. 8-10 weeks is a long time. Hendry, get on the phones please.
  7. I thought he was gonna have a huge year this year, so I picked him too. He's gotten 3 hits in his last two games, so let's hope his swing is coming around. He was hitting well in the WBC so that's why I picked him. Another hit + his first RBI last night...start turning those hits in HRs Beltre!
  8. Alright let's look at it this way. We won tonight, that's huge. Another series win. Eyre is going to be fine, the bullpen stays intact. Lee, well no one knows. He could be back Friday, or he could be out a month or two. It's a big loss, but this is a real test of character of this team. Besides the 2003 team, I haven't been more impressed with a Cubs team in a long time. They seem to be doing the small things, finding ways to score, and Rusch/Williams/Marshall have stepped in and done a decent job without Wood and Prior. Sprains can linger, but Lee is in great physical condition. I wouldn't be surprised if he played this weekend (I also wouldn't be surprised if he was out for a few months). If Hairston gets most of the 2B starts, and Walker moves to first, our lineup is still one that can produce runs. Pierre Hairston Ramirez Walker Jones Barrett Murton Cedeno That's not a bad lineup. That team can still win games and compete until Lee gets back. I understand everyone is freaking out, I was too, but that's not going to help anything here. We still have a solid bench with Neifi, Mabry, maybe Sing? Our bullpen is still solid. Dempster is quickly becoming a top 5 closer in the NL. Our staff for the most part is keeping us in games. Pierre and Jacque seem to be getting their swing down. Things can be okay even if Lee is out.
  9. I'm out of here for now. I hope to come back later to better news on Lee and Eyre.
  10. The Believe bracelet has been turned inside-out for the time being.
  11. Since he plays for the Cubs, I'm gonna say its an 80-90% chance it's broken. I really have no idea, but it looked really bad.
  12. If we would've given Furcal his money, this would've never happened...
  13. Jones is getting his swing back, 4 hits in 2 games(wow i was thinking of Beltre when i made this post, woops)
  14. I'm impressed these last few innings, Marshall. Let's get him the lead.
  15. Trade him. He didnt run fast enough to first. so u wanna trade aram too? A-Ram's glove is getting better everyday, and he hits home runs, dude.
