  1. His defense in the regular season better be better than that. I thought he was about to cast a spell. http://www.sportshollywood.com/images/cerrano.jpg
  2. Everything is cool with me. How long will the draft take? By the way, my team is Ramirianolee. If everyone shows up to the draft, or the majority anyways, it should take around an hour.
  3. Keon is nails, what a dagger this shot was. Keon is ridiculous. What an incredible backcourt duo we're gonna have next year with Hannah again and Keon will a full year under his belt.
  4. Yeah, McCann was my number 2 choice for a catcher behind Mauer. I like my pitching staff, there isn't anyone who is really a bonafide ace, but I think all of them will get around 15 wins and post a respectable ERA.
  5. 12 team standard public league. H2H.
  6. Booyah! Huge win for the Tigers tonight. Mizzou with a very faint heartbeat for the tourney right now, which if you woulda told me after the kU game, I would have called you crazy. Its nice to have a team thats competitive and winning games, as opposed to the crapfest Mizzou has given us the last three years. No kidding, they could somehow still end up with 20 wins at the end of the Big 12 tournament, which would be a HUGE accomplishment for this program.
  7. Gordon called Wrigley Field "Wrigley Stadium" before he performed a terrible rendition of "Take Me out to the Ballgame." I was at that game in the bleachers. The Boo Birds flew, that's for sure.
  8. Wow, I missed a great one tonight! Mizzou holds on to win 72-68! Now they're 6-7 in conference play and if Texas beats Texas Tech tonight they are somehow 5th in the Big 12. [/hopeless optimism that they somehow sneak into the Big Dance]
  9. Just did a live draft, standard Yahoo public league, had the #1 pick and I'm pretty happy with what I got. Please feel free to give me some suggestions. C: Brian McCann 1B: Albert Pujols 2B: Brandon Phillips 3B: Garrett Atkins SS: Miguel Tejada OF: Matt Holliday OF: Jeff Francoeur OF: Josh Willingham Util: Carlos Guillen Bench: Edwin Encarnacion Bench: Adam LaRoche SP: Aaron Harang SP: Justin Verlander RP: JJ Putz RP: Joel Piniero (I guess he's Boston's closer? I took him with my last pick because I'm weak at saves, not that it really matters) SP: Erik Bedard SP: Mike Mussina SP: Ervin Santana Bench: Tom Glavine Bench: Ted Lilly Bench: Ian Snell
  10. Mizzou with a costly turnover at the end of the half, but a 20-8 run puts them up 35-28 at half.
  11. Mizzou on a 13-2 run to pull ahead 26-22 with 5:15 left in the half!
  12. Missouri looking like they usually do at home, down 12-7 early but turning the ball over a lot.
  13. I'm convinced that Hendry reads NSBB and just likes to see us all freak out and see what kind of irrational statements we can throw out there. He definitely gets it done when it needs to be done.
  14. still have one more opening for anyone who wants to join, just respond here or PM me and ill send the info. btw, is everyone cool with the settings? what about the draft date?
  15. Mizzou-Oklahoma tonight. I will not be attending because I have a fantasy baseball draft at 7 and that is more important to me.
  16. Here's what we got in terms of settings, if you don't like anything, please let me know, I'm open to suggestions. As of right now the draft is Saturday, March 24, 2:30 PM CT, but I can change that if people can't make it. Draft Type: Live Draft Draft Time: Sat Mar 24 2:30pm CDT [ Add to My Calendar ] Max Teams: 14 Scoring Type: Head-to-Head Player Universe: All baseball Max Moves: No maximum Max Trades: No maximum Trade Reject Time: 2 Trade End Date: August 19, 2007 Waiver Time: 2 days Can't Cut List Provider: Yahoo! Sports Trade Review: League Votes Post Draft Players: Follow Waiver Rules Min Innings Pitched: 10 Weekly Deadline: Daily - Tomorrow Start Scoring on: Week 1 Offensive Stats: R, HR, RBI, SB, BA, OBP Pitching Stats: W, SV, BB, K, ERA, WHIP I'm going to start PMing you guys the password and stuff. Assuming Balsa is out (I assume he is), we're gonna need 1 more person to make this 14 teams.

  18. Well, it looks like it's going to be Head to Head, so if Balsa isn't going to play we're down to 11. I have absolutely no problem adding Mizzou and Bruno and one other person assuming Balsa is out and going with 14 people, what do you guys think?
  19. Oh sweet.
  20. He's not hustling to Spring Training, just like he doesn't hustle out ground balls. He's a clown. [/sarcasm]
  21. Someone open the gate and let poor Michael Barrett in for practice.
  22. Really? I think we need stellar defense from him just to keep from vomiting every time we see him on the lineup card. He's going to need to save a heck of a lot of runs defensively to make up for that bat. We need GG defense from Izzy, IMO. Oh, well yeah, definitely. I meant if he was a league-average SS at the plate, that's all we'd need out of him offensively. We DEFINITELY need gold glove defense out of him.
  23. Everyone is saying if Prior is 2003 form we should be NL favorites. I think if Prior just pitches ~175 innings, has a ~4.00 ERA, and no one else has major injuries, we're the NL favorites. If Prior is in 2003 form, we are league favorites in my opinion. There doesn't seem to be a dominating team out there this year. As for whoever said Izturis could improve to a league-average SS...that is all we need out of him.
  24. Murton should be the only option as a #2 hitter.
