    They lose at home, in game 7, Bill Simmons will kill himself. Hm...go Hawks then. (I don't hate Simmons all that much, and I enjoyed his book, but since then he's become a Grade A weiner.)

    I'd be all for moving Wood to a standard middle relief role if I felt we had someone who could actually come in and shut down games, but right now we're mostly a 1-man pen. I don't want Marmol in that role because, like many of you, want him in the extremely critical situations. If Wood continues to struggle and Howry starts stepping up a bit then I'm all for a switch, but until then we gotta stick with what we got.

    Honestly, I love Lou, but I'm really starting to turn sour on him. Hill is the ONLY guy who has such a short hook, yet we see Lilly constantly pitching awfully this year and Marquis has sucked completely for two years. I'm not a huge Hill lover like some people on this board, but I see what he did last year and I know he can be a solid pitcher, and I think it's ridiculous that he gets no slack on this team. I don't get taking him out after 2/3 IP tonight (I didn't see most of the game, but still, I feel that you need to try and let him work through it), and it's going to suck tomorrow when I'll be at Busch when Lilly gives up at least 5 in 4 IP with an exhausted pen. Should be fun.
