  1. I look at that and this is what I see: Soriano's OPS will regress down a bit, but if he has a hot week a month he should always be at least around a .900 OPS for the month. I think DeRosa, Ramirez, Theriot and Soto will always be around those numbers. Lee's obviously not going to be that bad. I feel that Edmonds/Johnson will OPS around .750 each during their platoon. We went 18-11 last month with our all-around best hitter OPS'ing under .700. As long as we avoid stretches with multiple players slumping, we should have no problem winning 15-18 games a month every month.
  2. Haha, thanks, but I don't think my wife would approve. Just tell her it's a gift for all the games on NSBB you've won. She'll understand.
  3. Some guy offered me this: He gets: Dan Uggla I get: Nate McLouth and Dustin Pedroia Uggla is obviously my 2B and Pedroia would replace him. My OF is kind of weak with Corey Hart, Johnny Damon, and Carlos Beltran. I have Sheffield on the DL. My team is in first, so I'm hesitant to change anything at this time, and this trade mostly banks on who I think will stay hot the longest this year between Uggla and McLouth, so I wanted to see what other people thought.
  4. erik316wttn you can have sex with my girlfriend any time. I wonder what the most wins are by an NSBB poster for Game Threads in a season are? Go Z. I expect a great outing tonight.
  5. I hope this is true. Mike Brown is like Kerry Wood in my eyes. I love Brown so much and all I want is for him to be healthy because it's so fun watching him out there and healthy. Also seems to be a huge fan-favorite and loves being a Bear (or Cub, in Kerry's case).
  6. Maybe in a few years we'll see Prior and Wood back together...in the Cubs pen ;)
  7. It was deceptively quick in his prime. It looked slower because it was long, but he had very good bat speed. Ok, that makes sense then. I've always noticed that he had a long, loopy-like swing. Hopefully these two games were more than a flash in the pan and he's actually coming back to how he was a few years ago. I'm not holding my breath, but I'm hoping. Like someone said earlier, if we could get at least a .750 OPS from our 2 platooning CFs, we'll be fine.
  8. Then the admin follows up with this: Honestly, some of the people (just from a few pages that I read), seem to be legitimately knowledgeable baseball fans, but the admin is a freaking [expletive].
  9. Has he ever had a quick bat though? It's probably just me, but his swing looks very similar to his swing when he was hitting with STL. He has looked a bit slow reacting to some fastballs, but I don't think that's all in the swing for him.
  10. That's frustrating to see, but I'm glad he's not our problem anymore.
  11. Edmonds is looking good his past two games. Hopefully he can keep it up.
  12. How are they an annoyance? They're not very good and they are 8 games back. They aren't a team to even think about in this race.
  13. I wanted a 5-2 homestand. We got a 7-0 homestand. I want a 5-2 road trip. Let's see what we get this week.
  14. Meh Ive came to grips with the fact that Stl isnt going away. I actually like it when both teams are in competition. We win the division, Stl wins the WC, and let us meet in the playoffs, the midwest would be ridiculous. after being in central MO during their WS run a few years ago, I want the cards as far away from the playoffs as possible, haha.
  15. mcclouth flies out deep. i hate both the pirates and the cardinals.
  16. Bautista just doubled in Minetzihaoshdadjoajd to make it 7-4 STL with no outs in the 8th...
  17. shoot. not a good pitch to hit but with this ump it probably wouldve been strike 3.
