Good news on Urlacher Brian Urlacher (wrist) said he expects to be close to 100 percent when the Bears begin their offseason program on March 29. Urlacher has been bench pressing for a month, an activity that undoubtedly puts heavy strain on that surgically repaired wrist. His health and effectiveness will be a key to the Bears' season, regardless if Julius Peppers is on board. And Peppers has offers out there from Chicago, Philly and NE.
The player rep for free agent Julius Peppers says that the Eagles have made an offer, but the Bears are the first stop. Agent Carl Carey is simply doing his job by using the media to jack up his client's pricetag. Previous reports have stated that the Peppers is too pricey for the Eagles' taste. If the deal with the Bears somehow falls through, Carey claims the Eagles would be next up.
I like Dez Clark, but Manumaleuna is a great signing. Gives us the blocking TE that Martz wants and (hopefully) we can still keep Olsen to open up the offense a bit. I would've preferred Rolle to Peppers, but I have no problems with either. Hopefully they turn their attention to Atogwe now.
Alright, well for the first time all year I feel that Missouri is a lock barring a complete meltdown. With @ Nebraska, Colorado, @ KSU, @ Iowa State and vs. Kansas left, I'd be pretty thrilled with a 3-2 finish.
