  1. So...basically Texas could decide next week to leave after all? With each new leak about the new Big 12, Beebe comes off a bigger buffoon. This is awesome. I don't understand how anyone agreed to this. Truly baffling. You can come up with some sort of possible explanation for the most (KU being saddled to KSU, A&M being saddled to the other Texas schools, BU, ISU, OSU, KSU, and TT having no redeemable qualities, Texas and Oklahoma keeping the status quo or better, but what the hell is Mizzou doing? Or are they still actively looking for anyone to take them, and figure it's better to have this deal than to let the conference collapse and force their hand to find a new home. That's exactly it. It's better to go along with it now and deal with the consequences later if a better offer comes up than it is to be left behind now.
  2. Is someone holding a gun to your head and forcing you to watch? I sympathize with your plight. can you imagine a scenario in which truffle actually enjoys something? i cant. weather? he likes weather, right?
  3. I think KU was really resistant to fighting to break away from KSU. Which was dumb. I have to feel like MU will still jump at the first chance to leave. If I were Alden, I'd be sending fruit baskets to the Big 10 and SEC every week. That's the feeling I get too. If the Big Ten offered Mizzou next week, we'd be gone, I'm sure of it.
  4. Nebraska had one solid year powered by one of the best defensive players in the history of CFB. Now they are Suh-less and their offense still sucks.
  5. The worst thing about staying in the Big 12 are all of them lame "well, I guess Mizzou did end up in the Big Ten!" jokes.
  6. Also, saw this earlier. Like all this stuff I don't know how true it is, but man I sure hope it is.
  7. He means the Big Ten believes they're still alive for Texas. To the Missouri guys here, are you actively rooting for the Big 12 to stay together with 12 teams? It seems like that setup would be doomed for failure in a couple of years, but it would at least buy them some time to figure out what to do when it hits the fan again. Of course, the short-term payoff of splitting the Nebraska and Colorado penalty money would be nice. Nah, I more or less hope the Big 12 burns at this point.
  8. Yeah, absolutely no one is fighting over OU. That's not to say they aren't wanted, but they aren't the prom queen in this situation.
  9. I don't know why I laughed at this but I did
  10. if tracy wouldve tripped over the bag and that ball landed in fair territory it wouldve summed up the history of the cubs and i wouldve killed myself
  11. I wish I had a better grasp of academic rankings, because I don't get them at all. I feel like a school like Mizzou that has the top Journalism program in the country, is one of six public universities with a law, med and vet school on the same campus, a land grant university, one of 34 schools in the country to be both an AAU school and a Doctoral/Research extensive university would have more academic prestige than what it has according to the USNWR, but it doesn't and I don't really understand the details to know why. Maybe every school ahead of them is more impressive than that, I don't know at all.
  12. way down in academic prestige, way way down no joke. the big ten is the ideal fit for mizzou. it's a shame it won't happen.
  13. If it makes you feel better, I'm still not sure if I'd rather Mizzou go to the MWC and be one of the best schools in a slightly lesser conference than have to deal with SEC lunacy in everything. I don't know if I have the energy to follow my team in a conference where I hate everyone in it. I'd rather be apart of the SEC Money Machine.
  14. boy that's a tough red
  15. my mancrush on Podolski grows
  16. The only schools in the country that can pull off independent status are Notre Dame and Texas and that's probably it. Iowa State/Baylor as an independent would be a hilarious fail.
  17. So I'm like Sulley in terms of my soccer fan-dom. How do we match up against Algeria and Slovenia?
  18. Yeah I root for the US first and foremost but after that I root for Germany since that's my main heritage.
