Your last line pretty much nailed it. This has nothing to do with Missouri. They're just going to be easy targets for lazy, pissed off columnists and radio show hosts. I'd just plug my ears for a while. Heck, Nebraska made the first move and I don't think they're the ones at fault, either. The conference was run by a single school (Texas), wasn't unified, and had an awful TV situation (made worse by Texas' demands). It was doomed to fail. I was going to say the same thing. The league failed when Dan Beebe thought it was best to do what was best for Texas instead of the entire conference. I don't think Missouri did anything wrong in trying to do what was best for the University, and I don't think Colorado and Nebraska did anything wrong in bolting. I put 99.9% of the blame on Beebe. Hopefully he'll be unemployed soon.
