Well, there I was in Philadelphia yesterday around noon, and I was thinking how neat it would be to stay over there and take in the game last night, but alas, the company had a different idea of how I should spend my time. So, like the good soldier, I got out on the PA Turnpike and started heading for Ohio. Had my CUBS game on the XM radio.... life is good, no? I turned off on I-70 and was heading through Washington, PA along about the 4th inning when all of a sudden, I come around a bend in the road and see nothing but tail lights and the left lane closed up ahead. So, I lay on the brakes and start slowing down when all of a sudden, with no warning at all, KABOOM !!! The tractor - trailer behind me smacks me right in the ass end !! Bottom line... I was not hurt, but my rear bumper was mangled up pretty bad, and the tractor that hit me (it was a brand new Kenworth) is gonna need a new front clip, radiator, and a whole lot of plumbing. By the time the police got all done with their investigation and paperwork, and I got back behind the wheel to leave.... the game was over !! [sigh] Well, maybe I'll be able to catch tonight's game.
