  21. Knock on wood.. Don't do it too hard, though. He may land on the DL. Well played, erik.
  22. No, Ryno, I did not leave Joe McCarthy off my list. I included every single man that managed the Chicago CUBS from 1954 through 1998. Joe McCarthy managed the CUBS back in the 20's and retired from baseball completely in 1950 at the age of 63. He was inducted into the HOF in 1957, just 3 years into the time period that was examined here. Read more carefully.
  23. If the sox should somehow find themselves playing a game when they're up 3 games to 1 in the series...... they'll be in Houston !!
  24. Remember..... the white sox won game 1 of the series back in '59, and as I remember it, that turned out OK. Memo to Jambrone or whatever your name is..... Quit trying to IM me. There is absolutely nothing you have to say that I need to hear. I don't want to engage you in any kind of battle of wits, that just runs contrary to the way I was raised. There is no honor in battling an unarmed opponent. If there's any message board out there in cyberspace from which you haven't yet been banned, take your sorry act there and try celebrating your team's win without trolling. It would be a singularly unique experience, no?
