  1. I lived on campus for a while, then in Roseville, Crystal, and Brooklyn Park.
  2. I've used that expression so many times, my sister bought me a T-shirt one Christmas that reads, "What part of Uff Da don't you understand ?"
  3. That's Norwegian for Oy Vay, no? German  I grew up in N Illinois. lots of German and Irish in my 'hood. I'm nearly full blooded considerning my family has been there for over 150 years. I figured you would have known uff da, HORNKOHL!!!!! :) I know it 'cause I lived in the Twin Cities with all of them Norwiegians for 4 years, eh?
  4. I won't break down Guzman here (I think it was mostly location, but I'll leave that to people who watched him closer-I was slightly distracted the first couple innings), but I will tell you the Rockies deserved all their runs. Those weren't bloops and dunks-they hit him all over the yard and hit pretty much every hit very hard until they pulled him. Wasn't a good outing. There was a troubling inconsistency in his velocity (or in the radar gun -- hard to tell). He didn't mix his pitches very well (for whatever reason) and he missed a lot with his location. It's Z + a rookie rotation now. It's going to be really inconsistent -- good, bad and ugly outings. Keep marching him out but keep a careful eye on him. Up until this season, Prior has been an Iron Man compared to Guzman. I didn't see the first 2 innings, only caught them on the radio. According to Pat & Ron, he was throwing nealy all fast balls, and with little or no movement on them. He was getting hit hard.
  5. Murton with a bomb !! Couple more of those, and we're right back in this thing, eh?
  6. I don't think Juan's sex life is proper material for discussion on the board, eh? Well played !!
  7. He won't be batting 2nd much longer, eh?
  8. I don't think Ronnie's sex life is proper material for discussion on the board, eh?
  9. It had originally been my plan to spend this weekend with my sister in Breckenridge and take in this whole series with her and the family. Now, I'm almost glad that stuff came up and I didn't go.
