Well.... as long as you've got your priorities straight............

Only 3 of Cedeno's starts at SS have come within the last 6 games-the other one came at game 6, the first Sunday of the season. Also, the main reason he didn't play SS the second week was because he got 2 starts at 2nd. My guess is that Cedeno will keep getting 2-3 starts a week at SS. You're quite right about game #6, but Cedeno has still started 4 of the last 6 games. (#13, 15, 17, & 18). He has 5 total starts, and Izturis' total is 13.

So far this season, Izturis has started 14 games and Cedeno the other 4..... but Cedeno's 4 starts have all been withing the last 6 games. So, regardless of the home run last week, I'd bet on Lou starting Cedeno tonight.

journeyman, he made a few starts for the Cubs last year (and sucked) and pitched a little bullpen in september. Ever since spring training he's been lights out. Winner. Anyone else notice how Lou isn't working his starters anywhere near as hard as Dusty? Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure what the difference is here. Actually, this years' starters are averaging 96.18 P/G so far compared to 91.90 last season. Although today's 117 pitches by Marquis is the maximum pitch count so far, compared to a high of 128 last year.
